Charge 3 vibrating and blinking randomly

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

At first the fit-bit charge 3 started vibrating, then the notification screen kept blinking. then it died.I manage to do an restart on it before it died.  I let it charge to the full. it lasted for an hour then it was dead again. It stayed non-responsive. It wouldn't charge. completely dead, so I thought. This morning (12/26/2018) I tried it again, it responded by blinking, vibrating and switching between screens again.

Mine came back to life after 36 hours. For the following week it glitched like crazy. Some days it would record my steps, other days it wouldn’t. I had black fine lines appear across the screen. Then it would randomly start flashing and buzzing again. I started recording it and then took it back to the shop with evidence, as the first time it ‘looked fine’ so they didn’t want to replace it. I was gratefully given a refund. It was only 9 months old.

I have got a charge 3 and it is vibrating and changing screens. tried resets—letting battery completely drain--reboots—-delete user data—-still malfunctioning. Anything else I can try?

Not A permanent fix for me and the response from Fitbit was lacking.

Mine never came back. Tried all the suggested procedures from fitbit support. I got a case created and I got a discount to apply to my next fitbit purchase! Oh and the discount  is only good for 30days.

Yea buh-bye!

I firmly believe they are engineered to last one year.

Thank you...I think I fixed my Fitbit. This is my third Fitbit

charge that has died on me in 2 years. After this, I'm done!

I am having this same problem that many others are reporting. Constant blinking and vibrating. I need this resolved ASAP.

I am not encouraged reading other’s posts on this issue. Please Fitbit address my concerns and get this issue resolved satisfactorily. This appears to be a common problem with your Charge 3s now that i am reading this. You must have a permanent fix.

Here is the problem... they knew Fitbit Charge 3 was a problem. I believe that’s why they launched the Charge 4 so quickly. You can call customer arrive and they will replace it for no charge IF you are still under warranty. But there lies the problem... they aren’t addressing the issue. The people at customer service who answer the phones aren’t the engineers hearing what’s wrong so the issue can be adequately addressed. I owned the original Fitbit, then Charge 2 and now 3. If I have to replace mine again, I am done with Fitbit permanently.

I appreciate your reply and the information, however that unfortunately is not a solution.

Try fitbit support, but my experience was that after the support provided
some procedures that did not resolved the issue for me. Fitbit support
created Case number. The next response from fitbit was informing me that my
charge 3 is past warranty so mine was ineligible for replacement, however
they did provide a 25% discount on a replacement.
I am no longer a fitbit customer.
Hopefully you have better luck with the procedures or you’re still in
warranty period.

I got it to reset twice but then gave up because it continued with less than 24 hours between episodes. Not as durable as I had hoped it would be.

It was never resolved. This is my 3rd Fitbit Charge that has gone bezerk or died in a matter of 2 years. I called Fitbit Custmer Service directly and told them what I thought of their cb product. I went through all the tests and rebooted and when I finally got it to show the main face and had it 100% charged, it list the battery charge within an hour. After my rant, I was sent a replacement watch (not the bands or charger). So far, it’s good,  it I only have it 1 week. I’m not expecting a long happy life with this product. I wish you luck!

I've tried your reset 5 times and it is still vibrating and blinking, showing screen wake and notifications mostly. This started after my morning sync. It did charge while trying the resets, and is still syncing with my phone after several attempts. I love my Fitbit, and need it to be working. Any other ideas?

Unfortunetly, it appears that once this condition sets in and occurs, that is essentially the end of the Charge 3's life.  Fitibit did very little than try to walk me through the resets multiple times.  Once that failed they said "all options were exhausted."  They then offered me 25% off of older in stock Fitbits.  What a joke.  I am now the proud of an Apple Watch, as it appears most of the people that have expierenced this problem with their Charge 3's are.

Customer Service was horrible from Fitbit and their quality and performance are clearly inadewquate.

Good luck to you.

Mine was doing the same for over a week. I tried resetting it with different methods suggested in the forum but to no avail. My fitbit was also saying I was achieving 30min of activity and my heart rate was higher than it should have been while sitting at my computer (170+). At night it would randomly start vibrating and the screen would stay on. I recently replaced a Charge 3 I had for over 3 years, it was not as bright and some other issues started to arise but no issues until the very end. I've had this new Charge 3 for a month and it started glitching. I just got off the phone with fitbit support and they are sending me a replacement. Their number is 1 (877) 623-4997. Good luck!

Thanks for the quick reply. Right at the moment I got it running, after the sixth reset, but every once in a while it still goes back and blinks that screen again. Good luck with your new Apple Watch.

Sadly, I’ve given up on my FitBit. Wearing a lovely Coach watch instead and assuming my daily activities are enough.

My fitbit did the exact same this morning, it eventually died, I tried to restart before it died but the screen kept flashing so much I was never able to.

It has been on charge all day and nothing is working, not the button nothing!  I don't have money to buy a new fitbit!
