Charge 3 won’t pair or sync with iOS devices

I have tried all the tricks of turning off, turning back on Bluetooth on iPhone, putting Charge 3 in the charger and holding the side button until the 🙂 appears, holding my mouth sideways, etc. Nothing is working. It seems to have started after the latest software update on my iPhone. Is anyone else having problems?

I feel the same. When I called in they offered me a 25% discount on a new one. Which doesn’t include the charge 4. !!!! This one is only 1 1/2 years old. ! My charge HR lasted 3 years before I got tired of charging it every other day. I’ve had to change the wristband on this one after only 11 months, now this problem, grr. I keep checking every day to every other day to make sure it’s still syncing right ,,
I agree with you money is too hard to come by anymore to keep purchasing these ,

Same problem since 12th May, no sync with iPhone & iPad. Found a easy helpful fix as follows. Go to Settings on iPhone, select Bluetooth, select Charge3 device (noted it was not connect) then select delete/remove this device, Then charge3 will appear at bottom left of screen, then select charge3 again, add device and then sync automatically. I found my iPad synced automatically after a couple of minutes too. Hope it works for you too.

I am sorry you are having so much problem.  Mine has been working for the last 16 hours plus the problem I had with it not counting the steps seems to have resolved.  It is very frustrating and time consuming to get it to work but I have been very happy with my Fitbit for many years.  It helps me to keep active. Hope it works out.

So folks a week since my original post and the non pairing/Bluetooth/Apple update problem still exists.  The only thing I have found works is to delete your Fitbit from Bluetooth And within the Fitbit app go into your account and use the replace device option. I Am finding I have to do this everyday But at least my Fitbit does update and pair with my phone.. good luck and I guess all we can do is wait until either Fitbit or Apple find a fix

My phone is running 13.4.1 and I can get it to sync basic data, no sleep and no activity, if I go through the whole set-up crap daily.  Chat helper suggested yesterday that I try the Set-up at night ....yea that’s just what I wanna do twice daily.... any suggestions about other brands?

I was able to get it to pair with my iPad & then turn off iPad Bluetooth & get it to sync one with the iPhone, but now it won’t sync with the iPhone again. So it seems the pairing with another device is only a temporary fix.

I received this message from Fitbit Support:

Hi Bob. Thanks for trying to fix this. We're here to assist you with your Charge 3 which is have stopped syncing with my iPhone 11 after downloading the iPhone update. In the meantime, go into your phones' Bluetooth menu > tap on the icon next to Charge 3 > and Press Forget this device. Next, re-open the Fitbit app and re bond using the all-day sync toggle. Follow this by trying these syncing troubleshoots: https://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1866    After checking this, please share the email address associated with your Fitbit account. Hope to hear from you soon.

It is temporary...I gave to do it every day! Called Apple...they say my Bluetooth is working just fine and my update did not affect Bluetooth. I have had sync problems since I got this charge 3 last year. It’s not Apple...it’s programming from Fitbit.... But Fitbit Does not know how to fix it!

This is what finally worked. I deleted Fitbit app then I turned off Bluetooth then I hit” forget this device”
Then I restored Bluetooth and the app and it worked! Good luck. Georgia
