My reminders to move have not been working since the latest update. I've tried toggling on and off, disconnecting and reconnecting. Getting a bit frustrated as it's been over 2 weeks now.

Hi folks
well in the last two days I've had three live chat sessions with charge specialists and they tried everything for me and unfortunately they did end up saying they are aware there is a bug with this feature at the minute and for those of us that the reminders to move aren't working at all (even with all the temporary work around like changing your clock face, changing your heart rate etc) that we just have to sit tight whils they work on an update to fix the bug.
So so if you're like me we don't have a faulty item it is just an issue with the update and they are working on fixing the feature.
in the mean time I might just set some alarms for each hour to remind me to double check I've made my 250 steps for that hour.

Thank you for that help .I have a alarm on my phone to remind me to drink water on the hour so i will just use it for both

Having this exact same issue since I updated to 22.22.48.14 last night.
Real shame as the Charge 2 was working perfectly before that.

Derek,
I've confirmed reminders to move is turned on and the heart rate tracking is turned onto auto. Still no notifications. Also double checked and notifications are set to on on the charge 2.

How do we go about rolling back this update?

I had this same topic open last week and got all the same crap responses from support. Last nights was the last straw-this latest update requires all day sync to be on which means bluetooth on all day. There goes all battery life. They just ruined a perfect product by doing this. It also includes text/call notifications. Funny thing though we have all been given a different response and reasons for a week plus the stupid troubleshooting stuff. Are my notifications on, does my phone have texting....are you freaking kidding me?!!! If we get lucky maybe they will put it back the way it was!

Good grief, I feel like an idiot. Somewhere along the line I had accidentlly held in the button too long without realizing it turned notifications off. As soon as I did that from the main clock display again it turned them back on. I've been reading this forum and trying all the fixes to no avail for the last 2 days. Maybe Fitbit support ought to tell people to try that.

my reminders to move aren't working either. i have a desk job so i kind of rely on them. i know my notifications are working fine because i get calls and text messages, just no reminders to move. i hope this is an issue that fitbit is aware of and are working on because it's a big feature to me.

Doesn't work for me either. The notifications are On and I get call and text notifications but not reminders to move. Well, once I received a single reminder to move but that is all.

I ended up buying a brand new charge 2 a second time and it is having the same, identical issue with reminders to move not coming through. Fitbit support was no help at all! Alta works fine. Tempted to return charge 2 and stick to Alta.

Mine suddenly started that too

Mine started working again for awhile - but now the reminders to move have stopped again.

ugh mine not working either. I've tried all the fixes. So frustrating. Why do they have to mess about with updates! I don't get my little spaceship thing when I've hit goal either. I don't know why I've spent so much money on something that doesn't do it's job.
I wanted the RTM because I suffer with mental health issues and it reminds me to go outside and not sit ruminating. It was working great before the update.

Same problem here as well. My reminders to move were working fine on my Charge 2 until about midday yesterday, then they suddenly just stopped. I didn't realize it until I noticed I had gone two hours without getting any steps. Like others, I have a desk job and rely heavily on the reminders to move to get up and move around on a regular basis throughout the day. I've tried all the various fixes suggested in this thread, but nothing has worked. I really hope they'll get this fixed SOON!

i emailed support and they gave me the steps about turning the heart rate to auto and then unpairing all the bluetooth devices. it didn't work at all. it's clearly a firmware issue but until they realize that, it's never going to be fixed

Thanks for posting this topic. Me too. I read all the posts and have tried most things and still no luck.
Things I have tried:
1) Turning on notification on the watch. Yes they were off at some point and I turned them on. In the bug fix for this they should make sure the app and the watch stay in synch both ways. You can have one in one state (watch off) and the app shows notifications on. So Fit Bit developers plaeas add a bug fix for that too.
2) Unistialling and re installing the app (Iphone 7 ) Made no difference.
3) Turn on all day synch (no difference)
4) Change clock face (no difference)
5) Change reminder hours (no difference)
6) Turn off reminder to move on the phone, sync, then turn them back on a sync again. (no luck)
So this is a hard and fast easily reproducable bug. If anyone gets a verified workaround or a patch version from Fit bit let me know.
By The way I have changed to the clock face that shows the step/hour so atleast I can see when I miss it. Also I love the reminders to move and steps per hour tracking. Please also see my suggestion for improving this featurre once it's debugged: https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Feature-Suggestions/Soft-time-boundaries-on-move-every-hour-credit/i...
Update (A day later) Last night after reading the posts and how to reset the device by putting it on charge and pressing the button untill it displays... I reset it twice last night (just to be sure) and turned off all day synch. I just got my first notification to move in several weeks. My conclusion si that the device reset is one of the key steps in the overall solution.
Thanks.
Update 2: (a week later)
Still working. I have also updated IOS on my phone and the fitbit app on my phone. I was a bit afraid I would lose it again when updating the app, but no issues.
The key steps appear to be:
1) Ensure that norifications are on on the watch by pressing and holding the button (not on the charger)
2) Reset the watch by pressing and holding the button on the charger.
Not sure which of the other steps (changing clock face etc) had any effect. Hope this helps.
