Reminders to move not working

Hi,

I have been struggling to find out what is going on with my fitbit. I recently got it and for the first couple of days it reminded me to move but just stopped reminding me for the past 2 days.

I spoke to the help desk and they suggested I reboot the fitbit and turn the more remind off, but still its not working.

Did anyone have the same problem and is there anyway to get it to work again?

Maybe its faulty and I need to return it to the store?

Thank you

Christine

Yes. I was able to get them to work by plugging it in and resetting it by pressing and holding the side button until you see the Fitbit symbol show on your screen.

My Fitbit has been working fine since then. Make sure that your notifications are not turned off because that will stop your hourly reminders from buzzing as well.

Restarting several times can work. Not just once

I would also make sure under settings and the Unit name that reminders is turned back to on. Also make sure the days you want to be reminded are still checked.

If they are than get back in touch with support or if bought in a store I would go exchange it. it will be faster.

I have been having the same problem with my Charge 2 over the last few days.  I have turned the reminders off and on several times but it is still not working.

I am going to try turning them off and re-syncing my phone, then back on again to see if that works.

I updated my Charge 2 yesterday and they haven't worked since.  I restarted my fitbit twice and made sure the hours and days I want it to remind me are checked.  I feel like it was a bad update.  Does anyone else have different suggestions?

If the Charge2 was just recently updated let's make sure notification setting on the Charge2 bus turned on..While looking at the clock hold the button in.. This setting also turns off the hourly step reminder. Also check the app settings again

This is what my setting is at.  I'm not sure what you are referring to when you say 'Charge2 bus'.  If i hold down the button on the Charge2 the notification are already set to on.  I still get notifications of phone calls and texts but dont recieve the reminders like I used to.  It's very frustrating I work at my desk all day and it's a nice reminder that I haven't gotten up in an hour.

Ok it is ten minutes to the hour, I'm 82 steps and yes I got no notification.. Just saying that it is more than your trackers @jcarpenter, @christine007, and @KNWA

Thanks Rich. I just tried your suggestion so I will see if I get a reminder at 7:50pm. I will keep you posted.

I'm having the same issue.  Mine worked fine for almost a month and has recently quick working.  Not sure if it coincided with the last update or actually quit before then.  I think it was with this last update though.  I've restarted, on-off notifications / reminders, sync'd and resync'd and nothing.

I contacted customer service last night and today it is working just fine. I can't say exactly what did the trick because the things that the customer service representative had me do was the same things that I had already tried (sync, re-sync, turning notifications off and on). I would try resetting your device by plugging it up and pressing and holding the button on the side until you see the Fitbit symbol come on the screen. If this doesn't work, I would contact customer service.

Press the button on the side once until the time shows. Then press and hold the button again and the notifications will show and hold until it shows notifications are on. This change seems to have happened toe veryone after the update.

Same here. So weird that it was fine in the app but not the Fitbit itself. Thanks! This worked for me too!

Yes, it should give you a reminder at 10 minute to the hour every hour that you have your activity set to calculate your hourly steps.

Did you get it working? I'm having the same issue. Sat having a cuddle with my daughter and missed my steps that hour. Would have had a stroll round the kitchen if it had buzzed.

Nope I've tried every suggestion in this feed and even called.  They gave me the same things to try and still nothing worked.  I haven't had reminders to move for months now and sadly it was one of the reason i upgraded my fitbit and now i feel like I've just wasted my money.
