You can't get them. You need a new fitbit.

The charge 2 is not made where the screen can be replaced. The only option that they company will give you is to give you 25% off if you buy from them. If it is under warranty, they will replace it. The vertical crack in the screen, if that is your problem, is a problem with lots and lots of Charge 2 monitors. I just gave up on fitbit and went to an Amazfit bip

My Fitbit was a year old on April 22nd 2018. The screen has split down the middle while it was charging.
This appears to have happened to a number of people. What is the next step please?

My guess is that since you are out of warranty they will offer you 25% off of a new one at their full retail price. That is the offer that I got but it could not be used on the Charge 3. I just bought a new Amazfit Bib for less than $80 and it works great. My days with FitBit are over.

Count me among the many here with a Charge 2 that developed a vertical crack in the screen. The bureaucratic response from Fitbit to these repeated complaints tells me the company cares more about its corporate interests than its customers. A company’s brand lives or dies not by its mission statement or advertising but by the daily interactions with the people who buy and use the product. Fitbit’s stock price has fallen and the company has had to resort to cheaper models (Versa) to boost sales. Given the quality of Charge 2 and customer support, I won’t be buying one. Next time around it will be a smart watch from a different company.

I wish I’d been aware of this problem earlier; I would’ve put a screen saver on the darned screen. Not to mention wouldn’t have bought it in the first place. It is crazy to sell a fitness tracker with such a fragile weakness. Right? I got the same runaround from live chat that others experienced & now have contacted execs. Keeping my fingers crossed they decide to stand behind their product.

Good day,
If you truly have information to higher executives please pass it on. We need to escalate this as we are not receiving the proper attention. I myself have two of these, my wife and I, and have been given discount to purchase another item but I don’t think so as the quality is defective.
Respectfully,

From the number of people that have the SAME issue and the SAME crack in their Charge 2 it is becoming evident that it is a Fitbit problem and not a customer issue. Those within one year got a replacement but mine was 14 months after purchase. they said no replacement. This is NOT a customer use issue. It is a Fitbit issue and the fact that they are not acknowledging it or replacing all Charge 2 with the same crack is poor customer service. I have a crack in mine, my daughter got one a month before nad she has identical crack in screen and a cousin has one and exact same crack. I do not accept the reply that says it is my fault.

Over the past year, I've seen hundreds of posts in reference to the faulty screen on the Charge 2.
My screen cracked 4 months into my wearing it. I was offered a discount on a purchase of a new unit. I chose not to purchase another Fitbit. I wore the defective unit for almost a year. It worked fine, but it was embarrassing to show.
I took my time and shopped around. Finally, I purchased a Samsung Galaxy watch.
In my opinion, the Fitbit is a better unit for health monitoring. The Samsung Galaxy watch is great in all other functions and did entail a higher cost. I am pleased with their customer service so far.
If the Fitbit customer service had been better in reference to the defective Charge 2, I may have stayed with them.

My cracked screen came to it's end with another common Charge 2 problem yesterday. I, gasp, wore it outside in the sun on a hot day and was sweating while doing so. Oh the horror. It wasn't long before I noticed that the heart rate was no longer working. (Given I hadn't played tennis in about 12 years, I was wanting to see if I was pushing for a heart attack or not) After I got home, I read forums about one green light staying on and how the heart rate would stop working. Some people seemed to think a reset helped it, while others said it didn't change anything. So, I was going to try the reset, but the moment I plugged it into the charger, the screen died. No response to anything. The only sign of life was the green light. Button pressing didn't work. I cleaned the contacts and still nothing. Let it sit and by morning the green light had apparently exhausted the battery. Plugged into the charger and still nothing.
I contacted chat support to see if they had any other suggestions and as soon as I explained what was going on, the rep went immediately asking about warranty status, almost, imagine this, like he already knew the outcome and what the problem was. Yeah, I'm sure it's not that common. And of course, I got the 25% discount offer. Wahoo. What a joke. The closest thing I got to an acknowledgment that this product is crappy quality was his saying that they had been receiving feedback and their engineers were working to make their future products better. But no soup for you other than a 25% discount off of regular prices.
I'd like to try a Garmin vivosmart, but reviews are pretty poor on the accuracy of the sleep and heart rate functions. That kind of makes them unattractive. But I wonder if they die like a Fitbit does when you sweat?

The screen is not replaceable, if under warranty they will replace the watch, but if past the one year warranty then you are out of luck. Read the replies on this post and you will understand. I finally changed to an Amazfit Bip.

It’s a design flaw in a poorly made product. Mine has 2 cracks and has never been exposed to any trauma. Strongly advise that potential buyers look elsewhere
