Screen cracked in heat

Fitbit charge 2 is a new band. My daughter and I upgraded to charge 2. Bought them in December. We're in Jamaica for a week February, doing nothing but walking the beach. Mine was fine in the morning when I was done walking my 10000 steps my screen was cracked down the center and along the bottom. My daughter woke up the next morning and hers was also cracked the same way. We didn't do anything but walk the beach.

Same!!! My screen was totally fine all day long, took my dog for a walk and noticed the screen was cracked vertically. I know I did nothing to cause such damage. I'm so disappointed 😔

This just happened to me today ! First on monday my band broke while I was putting clean pillowcases on . The plastic tab thing broke so I ordered a new band . It came today and I put the new one one. Mid afternoon I went to see what time it was and noticed a crack from top to bottom on my screen there is now a secondary crack spidered off the big one going towards the right side. If you run your finger over the crack it feels like its being pushed up from inside. I received the fitbit as a birthday gift in Oct. I have my receipt . I did not bang the fit bit or smash it into anything. I am going to call customer service in the am.

Yes! See, there are so many people who had the same thing happen. I know I
did nothing crazy to crack the screen! Call customer service, they replaced
mine. The more people who call about this issue, the more aware they'll be!
Hopefully they issue a site-wide manufacturer replacement statement.

Try calling again! I called yesterday about my screen, and they're replacing it. I'm sure they're becoming more aware of the issue. They didn't even hesitate with offering a new one! Hope they do the same for you.

Just to update those who are reading my message:

I did chase Fitbit after first contact about broken screen and on second attempt they quickly responded with a free of charge offer to replace. A different dept then got in contact saying they needed the old one returned first, we did this (at our own cost, approx £7-00). The process took a few weeks, BUT we did eventually get a new replacement. Don't give up!

Hey, I wore my Charge 2 to the beach the other day and glanced at it after about an hour and found that the screen had cracked down the middle. I did nothing but lie there and read the whole time so I know I didn't bang it on something. Has anyone experienced something similar?

The same thing happened to me today at the beach! It has to have been the heat. In the car on the way back from spending a few hours outside,  I discovered a huge crack running down one side of the display of my Charge2.  I know I didn't hit it on anything.  😞

I guess I'm a member of the club too.

My charge 2 screen just split down the left-middle and across.  We were at the beach 2 weeks ago. I hadn't worn it until today. I was driving when I noticed the cracks.  I 've had it since Christmas, no problems until then.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who has this problem! I was at a pool party on Tuesday for the Fourth of July and then Wednesday I noticed that there was a crack down the screen! I had it on for maybe a couple hours while I was in the heat and took it off after that. I got mine end of January/beginning of February.

I've just posted about mine getting a crack down it too. Got mine at Christmas so maybe it is a faulty batch.

Contacted FItbit via chat at help page.  Explained what happened and they shipped me a replacements.

Same thing just happened to my charge 2 - crack straight down the middle. I haven't bumped it off anything and was sitting out in the sun with it on Saturday. Purchased just before Christmas. Gutted.
