I just got an Inspire HR and I can not get it to pair with my Galaxy S9 bluetooth.   I have tried several things and it still won't pair.  Any suggestions?  thanks

My Inspire HR is only 3 months old. I'm wondering if the update that just happened for the S7 phones did something?

Thank you, the many people who've responded to my quandary: Unable to Pair my Inspire HR to my Galaxy S7
Mostly, I've heard the same type difficulty, and even though I'd heard/read a few possibilities, none worked for me.
I now guess/realize(?), on my phone's Fitbit app, it has always shown that my Fitbit has synced to my phone.
I am enjoying my Fitbit, and now I will say I have no difficulties with it.
Again, I thank you all for your replies,
Lieb

Doesn't work for S9.  But I just walked into the room where my fitbit is laying on the table and it found the fitbit.  It's junk.

I have a S7 and was having all kinds of trouble pairing my Inspire HR.  When I followed Sammiethebull's steps (and I think I may have added another step) it finally worked.  This was a week ago and all is still fine.

Yeah sound good. I hope it works out for you. The hacks all seem to work randomly and some watches seem to work for and some it seems not, its all a bit of a ball ache when it doesn't, and shouldn't really be taking people hours and hours to try figure out. Any way I tried and tried for 3 months... Gave up, got an alternative! Goodluck with yours 🙂

Unlink, delete the app.  re add the app and try relinking.

It took me a few tries but I got it.  so frustrating....  if this ever dies I will not replace it with another product

Mine syncs most days now but it's still fails once in a while. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app, restarted my fitbit and even added it like it was a new one. Never know from one day to the next if it will work.

I tried this and I still can not get my Inspire HR to sync.  It doesn't sync with my phone or with my computer.  As far as I'm concerned the only good thing the watch does is let me know how far I walked, how fast I walked and how long I slept.  Oh yeah and it tells time!!!

Sorry, I have an Alta HR and an android phone.  My experience is that every 3 months it needs to be restarted. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy smartphone.

Mine wouldn't pair on my galaxy s9 either. I could see that Bluetooth found the Fitbit  because it was there showing as a connectable device but when I tapped it to pair it wouldn't pair until I did this:

  • Go into settings on your phone
  • tap connections
  • tap Bluetooth
  • Tap th three little buttons in top right corner
  • tap advanced
  • tap Bluetooth Control History
  • Find the Fitbit app logo and tap it
  • then I just followed the prompts after this

I hope this helps you.

fyi it took a long time to connect- it appeared to be updating the software showing 1 of 3, 2 of 3 and finally 3/3 if you know what I mean
I hope this helps you.

Thanks.  I have a Samsung 7 and what worked for me was to uninstall Fitbit and reinstall it.  That made 3 days of missing data show up, so I was thrilled.  But I am keeping your method together with the one I used for the next time this happens.

I have a S7.  What worked for me was to uninstall Fitbit and reinstall it.  This was great as it brought back the 3 days of data that were missing.  There seem to be a lot of workarounds with Fitbit, and I will add yours to my Fitbit folder.  This was the second time this had occurred and I did not keep what worked the first time.  Now I have a folder with more and more options.
Thank you,Anne

It works for me, I got it to work, but you need to redo if the battery
dies. Sometimes you have to delete the app amd reinstall

watch just says fitbit.com/setup     Phone says bluetooth on.  fitbit app is showing today with categories of today underneath.  Never suggests anything about pairing.  want to sell me a subscription for "Premium"

I bet it'd work with that, but I'll throw it away first.
