I updated to iOS 13.1 yesterday and now my Fitbit inspire HR will not sync. I’ve gone through all of the suggested troubleshooting including; updating Fitbit, restart phone/Fitbit, turning Bluetooth on/off, force sync. On my phone, my Fitbit shows up as being connected to Bluetooth and Bluetooth is on.
Best AnswerThis has resulted in me not being able to log into the newly reinstalled app (five times - gave up). The app errors on entry of my credentials, and hangs if I try and set a new password. I've had the same password for the past four years now, so it's not that I'm entering the wrong details. Now I can't even test to see if syncing is fixed 😆
UPDATE: YAY! I have been able to log in on my tablet and sync'. I want to use my phone for my trackers though, so it's frustrating not being able to even log into the iPhone app.
Best AnswerI have tried every single suggested fix on this forum. I even purchased a new Alta and it still didn’t work! The best feature for me was the text notification. They haven’t been able to sort it out in over 2 weeks so Fitbit is about to lose a long time customer.
Best AnswerI too had the same issue after purchasing a brand new inspire hr device. My Bluetooth on my iPhone would not recognize the new Fitbit. I finally had to remove the Fitbit app and reinstall it to get it to work. Works great now!
Best AnswerHere’s what i did...
on my iphone, i went into settings, scrolled mostly to the bottom and tapped on “fitbit,” it will show at the top “fitbit” then below that “allow fitbit to access”. My update must have turned off my Bluetooth or some witchcraft, so i just flipped that sucker right back on and the Bluetooth found my fitbit and synced right up (after I tried “forget this device” in both the Bluetooth section and the fitbit app)
hope this will help
good luck and get those steps, my dudes.
Thanks for the info, @PandaMonium . Glad it worked for you. I upgraded my iPhone to iOS 13.1.2, then restarted my Versa, and am now receiving notifications. Important note - after the upgrade was installed, the phone led me through instructions to “complete upgrade.” One of the steps included connecting to Bluetooth.

Best AnswerI have tried all of your suggestions. - It says no Bluetooth connection. I have uninstalled and installed the fitbit app multiple times. Powered my phone on and off. Powered off my Inspire.
I have an Iphone 7 - operating system just updated to ios 13.1.2. Opened a case with Fitbit - waiting for them to give my a solution. So frustrated.
Please let me know what you hear back from your open case with Fitbit. I too am at the end of my rope! I was concerned that it might be because I have an iphone 8 and it's apple's way of trying to force an upgrade but no longer allowing it to work with some third party apps. I'm getting phone call notifications but no text notifications.
Today I have been able to authenticate in the app on my phone, and it's syncing with all my trackers again. Whew! Rage abated 🙂
Me too, and my Inspire HR isn't even registering as able to use the sleep option either and it has the HR!
Best AnswerI have tried everything. I should not have to reinstall every day and now since the iOS update even that does not work! I also have iPhone 7. So frustrating!
Best AnswerIt's disconnecting now. My other wearables, including my other Fitbits are staying connected fine. It's just the Inspire FR.
@mstrigs the urge to hit it repeatedly and fatally is strong 😉
