I updated to iOS 13.1 yesterday and now my Fitbit inspire HR will not sync. I’ve gone through all of the suggested troubleshooting including; updating Fitbit, restart phone/Fitbit, turning Bluetooth on/off, force sync. On my phone, my Fitbit shows up as being connected to Bluetooth and Bluetooth is on.

My problem has seemed to have resolved by making sure that I keep it charged above 80% at all times. However, a new issue has arisen, which is that now the sleep app has stopped correctly tracking my fall asleep time, showing that I fall asleep at 4:00 am when I am always asleep before midnight. The only solution they can suggest is re-booting, which I pretty much already have to do every day and which sometimes works and sometimes doesn't.
The worst nightmare was trying to get customer service online. It was an agonizing 45 minutes with long delays on their end where she would say "excuse me while I collect my tools here" and other bs and then 10 minutes later say, "can I get your email address" and then 10 minutes later, "that email does not work" after I had said immediately after entering, "sorry, there is a space between the address and the @ sign" -- why would it take 10 minutes for her to tell me it wasn't working?! It should take her like a few seconds or a minute or two at most to figure that out if she was actually helping me! She was probably updating her Twitter or taking Instagram selfies. What a waste of time for her to keep sending me links I have already gone through multiple times only to tell me a half hour later, "sorry, it's all because of the update." If you get Glecy P. on the online support, just hang up and start over again.
The saddest part for me is that I have come to love and depend on my Fitbit -- when and if it works! When it is working, it is such a great helper for me in my journey to health. That is what makes all the glitches and problems and uncaring, uninterested customer service so frustrating! I feel as if I'm in a bad relationship, perhaps it is time to jump ship and find an alternative.

No, it did not work. I re-installed the app. Lost all my former data, but that was ok with me.

Yazzy05, I finally got it work by going through a ridiculously long and involved string of steps. Including making sure it is at 100 % charge, checking to see if either Fitbit or apple has an update to install, then closing the app, turning off and on the Bluetooth, restarting the Fitbit which involves putting it on the charger then pressing the side button until it vibrates and then goes dark. Then you see a smile face which by this time I could swear is mocking me. Then if none of those things work, to reinstall the Fitbit which I have done numerous times and not lost the data. Literally I feel as if I am doing a rain dance to make it rain and it has worked so far. And every time it stops working I find a new other untried step to try and that one thing does the trick. But I’m sure I’m very close to the day when it will not. In the meantime, I’m saving my hard earned pennies for an Apple Watch.

zoei00 -- aw man I'm sorry to hear that! I feel your pain with it but can offer no solutions, other than giving up and trying a different product. The worst part of it is being able to understand how helpful the Fitbit can be to helping you to become healthier but then to have it go sideways because of glitches! If the product worked properly, I would be shouting it from the hills because since July I have lost over 10 lbs by consistent walking, watching my diet, and getting proper sleep. The Fitbit has shown me that my heart rate has gone from an average of 62 to 55 during that time! I love seeing myself with my friends showing our daily and weekly step counts -- it proves to be a very effective tool in getting me up and out of the house! But then to have it go sideways and stop syncing so that my hard earned steps stop updating along with my friends, to have the sleep app suddenly start saying I am going to sleep at 4 am and such nonsense. At present, mine appears to be working and all is well with the world. But I feel as if I am on borrowed time.

Try setting your texts to show on your locked screen. Called a preview. It will work, but I don’t like my texts previewing on the locked screen. Ugh.
