Fitbit Update 8/23/18:

Hey, everyone! Just wanted to thank you all for your participation in this thread.

Since the majority of Versa users have successfully updated to OS 2.1.1 (v32.32.10.15) I have decided to close this topic from further comments.

If you still have not updated your Versa to OS 2.1.1, check out this help article for how to update your device. Please complete this update so that you're prepared for the next release.

If you are experiencing an issue with your Versa unrelated to the firmware-up process, I invite you to start a new topic on the Community or find a related topic.

Fitbit Update 05/11/2018: We have released Fitbit OS 2.1 to 100% of Versa users (Firmware Version: 32.32.10.15).

Hi, everyone! Smiley Happy

I am excited to announce the release of Fitbit OS 2.1! (Firmware Version: 32.32.10.15)

We've started to roll out this update to 10% of Versa users. This is a progressive rollout, and all Versa users can expect to have it within a few weeks. We roll out releases in phases as a cautionary measure so that we can monitor performance closely and make adjustments if needed.

WHAT’S NEW

Introducing quick replies. Send customized responses to text messages and messages from select messaging apps with your Fitbit watch. Note that this feature is currently only available on watches paired to an Android phone. For more information, see How do I respond to messages with my Fitbit watch?

WHAT’S FIXED

This release includes other bug fixes and improvements.

Step by step instructions for updating your Versa can be found here.

I recommend updating your Versa over a home Wi-Fi network as this can greatly reduce the time it can take to get set up. For more information on connecting your Versa to Wi-Fi, check out this article

If you run into any trouble updating your Versa, I can also recommend reviewing these troubleshooting tips

Looking forward to hearing everyone's feedback on the latest release. If you have any questions, feel free to let me know!

I live in UK London and my watch is updated with the latest release. However, I can't sync the tracker with the app. I use android phone Honor and syncing keeps stopping. I keep resetting everything and it syncs for an hour or 2 but then keeps stopping. This is so frasturating. How can I fix it??

I have been having this same issue for the past 2 months and I have an iPhone . I have tried every single thing that Fitbit has suggested about 20 times . But then all of a sudden it will sync , so about every 2 days it will actually sync and usual around 1 or 2 am . There is not rhyme or reason . I keep hoping that there will be an update to fix it . I know it’s not my phone or WiFi or Bluetooth as my blaze works and syncs perfectly with all my devices etc.

I was provided with a return label, taking it to the Post Office tomorrow.
Hope the replacement will be okay.

I spent all day again trying to get the issue resolved.  Returning it tomorrow, hoping the replacement they send will be okay.  Haven't had it a good two months yet.

Still very disappointed with my Versa. I even was able to do the new update last night but still getting mystery steps. I’ve had my watch for almost a week and have been having 25,000-35,000 steps a day. I’ve reset the factory setting twice and still no luck. I’ll wake up in the morning and get it off the charger and I’ve already got 12,000 steps in for the day and 15 flights of stairs. I’m  highly disappointed the new update did not fix this issue. I’m thinking I will be returning it...not worth the money when this is a key feature that’s not even accurate.

Odd. I got my fitbit in June (a few weeks ago) and have this firmware already. Not sure how that happened since it seems to be rolling out in July?? Unless the person who posted this just posted it in July.

So far I love my Versa, but I am noticing an issue with the sleep tracking. Since this is a new item, just on the market, I am confident that fitbit will continue to improve it 🙂

That’s pretty bad from what you’ve described. I do think you may have got a defective unit - I  have the Versa for about 3mths now - its working as it should. Why don’t you try get a replacement and see if you still get the additional steps? From what I’ve read from the forum here - Fitbit seems lacking in the QC department.

Fitbit moderators here are not doing the company any good by gaslighting users here on the actual situation - furthermore the contradicting statements that different moderators put out here are amusing to say the least. Eg in a thread one moderator acknowledged the problems with additonal step and in another - other moderator say its not a issue. Also with regards to 2 firmwares out there - one rep mentioned the newer firmware 32.10.20 is meant for new customers and another rep saying 32.10.20 is actually mistakenly distributed and it was meant for iconic. When asked how user with 32.10.20 should do - ie reset and setup their device for scratch - those moderators just wouldn’t answer the question. Instead using standard template answer pointing to completely irrelevant troubleshooting guides. Those guys really choose what they like to answer - ignoring the difficult ones. I sincerely think they are adding to the distrust customers have/ and developed about the firm.

Bottom line - the Versa (in my honest opinion) is a decent product runied by QC problems and incoherent messages from Fitbit.

I will still suggest that you ask for a replacement and if it turns out as bad again - you can always ask for a refund.

Just got Versa today and I am

not a happy customer! I have had flex 2 and charge 2 and upgraded to Versa as similar to Apple Watch but better battery life! Beginning to regret this! Can’t access notifications at all rebooted wiped and started a new and still can’t and done everything on other forms just wee dial goes round and then says pairing failed and disabled even though had it all green tabbed while doing process of installing it! May I add this is the new version installed!

Honestly. I️ would take it back and exchange for an Apple Watch if you have an iPhone. My first Fitbit died within 5 weeks; their firmware software destroyed it. I️ get a replacement only for that to die 30 days later.

Unfortunately I can’t as used my tickets at a arcade to purchase it and they won’t return it unless faulty or damaged! I did managed to get notifications to work thankfully tip for anyone who has similar issue is to go onto Bluetooth once all registered and set up and on iPhone say forget this network and go to notifications on account and click to pair that way and it worked no problem 👍🏼 Annoyed as I done a workout earlier and I did not record it so shall see if it picks up tomorrow

I have returned my Versa to the store. The responses from Fitbit customer service are just crazy. The latest was they wanted me to do three different things with the settings and after each adjustment note the steps on the watch and then walk 100 steps and compare the data. It is time they admit there are real issues with the Versa.

Seriously what a joke! Don’t know there is any Fitbit shops near myself but will keep and eye on the steps make sure it’s counting properly 👍🏼

I could not be more disapointed in this product.

I've reporeted these issues several times with no resolution.

When I do yoga, and weights for example -it shows me distance and no calories burned in the summary page, instead a get a dash "-".

When I start tracking an activity my heart rate is 150+ BEFORE I actually start working out.

The battery is not lasting, and I think the app is draining my phone.

My resting HR is 10 beats less when I wear my charge2 vs the Versa.

I expected a few issues with a new product, but also expected Fitbit to correct these in a timely manner.

If i had to do it over, i would not have purchased this, feels like a waste of money.

It looks like this product was rushed to market and there isn't enough support to fix these issues.

Maybe the company that is Fitbit is in trouble?

The Versa received one update after the initial launch and the support through updates stopped for several months, meanwhile the forums are filling up with complaints...

It feels af if Fitbit is cutting costs on further development and let moderators repeat the same answers again and again.

I totally agree. The moderators keep deleting my posts because they violate community terms. It’s considered “hostile”🙄. I️ have a right to he hostile considering I️ have problem after problem with that device. Consumers need to know all of the issues since Fitbit doesn’t want to rectify the issue.

Agreed that this is really silly. It happens for “circuit training” and “workout” too. Who looks at distance when doing those forms of exercise? On the other hand - “walk” exercise summary does not include distance. Hilarious right? Such amauterish feature.

Obviously not much thoughts had been put in on the user experience aspect of it. Fitbit - if you still cares for your customers - please note. Thanks
