Is it technically possible to connect Galaxy Buds to the fitbit Versa?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I've seen a post in which another user drew the conclusion that because of the type of "low energy" blue tooth used by the Versa that the new Samsung Galaxy Buds will not pair. While this is the "accepted solution" to the issue, there was no response by the thread moderation or a fitbit representative. In my own experience my Versa can identify the wireless buds but will not connect, no matter what I've tried. I'd like a fitbit representative to address this issue or conclusively state that this connection cannot occur, if true, thus ending my continued trial and error. thanks.

After 6 months I'm receiving the same response from fitbitsupport. "Hello. We're sorry for the inconvenience and our engineering team is now working to identify a resolution as quickly as possible. We appreciate your patience while we're working on this. Please let us know if there's anything we can do to assist you in the meantime." I doubt there will be a resolution for this issue.

@Jzizi128 @the way you make them play sound is a process in itself but it works.

1. Open the case and sync both buds.

2. Put one galaxy bud in your ear and close the case.

3. Open the case and sound should come out of the earbud but it will sound garbled.

4. Put the second earbud in your ear, and put the first earbud back in the case

5. Close the case, reopen it again, and now when you put both earbuds in, the buds should sync with eachother just fine and sound quality should be great.

Let me know if this works for you! Sadly it's a pain but hopefully fitbit will fix this problem this year! Best wishes!

Very frustrating. So after the buds connect. Take the one bud thats out of
the case and out it back in and take the other bud out and it should start
playing. My volume controls stopped working the other day. Im about to
chuck the fitbit and buy a samsung. Im just dont want to spend money on
another watch when i hardly use mine to begin with. I have a the jlab elite
headphones that work just fine with the fitbit too, but the sound quality
is meh! I attached two screenshots from previous posts on this forum. Those
are the ones I have been following to use my headphones.

Can you walk me though how you were able to connect the two? Tried turning the Bluetooth off as suggested but it still won't pair.

@Shineshine @There is actually no need to turn off bluetooth at all. You only have to disconnect you GB from your phone through the galaxy wearables app. Then it should pair just fine with the watch. In terms of making it play music. Instructions are above. Best wishes!

I just turned off the bluetooth on my phone, so they wouldn't automatically
connect to that when I opened the case. I connected my Fitbit to wifi, then
turned on the bluetooth on the Fitbit. They connected. I heard music play
once, in both buds, but it stopped and I couldn't get them to play again.

I successfully paired Galaxy Buds after several failed attempts.  I followed the instructions on the Earbuds app. Briefly,  go to settings on FB>BLUETOOTH>ADD AUDIO DEVICE>TURN ON EARBUDS>HOLD ON BOTH BUTTONS FOR 3 SECONDS UNTIL PAIRED.

Hope this helps.

I figured it out!!!!  Ok...so...

1) Put on your buds

2) Go to Settings on your Versa 2

3) Go to Bluetooth (Manage Connections)

4) PRESS AND HOLD BOTH OF THE TOUCH PADS ON YOUR BUDS FOR 3 SECONDS (at first there was a noise because I set up my buds to listen to voice commands when I press the left side...but KEEP HOLDING til you hear the beep!  It will KEEP beeping.  Your buds are now in pairing mode!!!)

5) Press + Audio Device on your Versa 2

6) Connection Complete!  How silly was that!!

🙂

You are fricken amazing! I bought this Versa earlier on today, spent a few hours trying to get the ear buds to work... took the watch back cause it wouldnt show the ear buds. They replaced it for me with a brand new one. Took it home, tried again and the same thing was happening. Was gettinf extremely frustrated and voilà! Turning the phone bluetooth off is the magic trick. You've made my day! Thank you! thank you! thank you!

Mine are now connected. Make sure you're not using 5g wifi. My problem now is getting sound. Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Seems to work if I connect the buds first then start Deezer. But, if I pause it, I lose the sound.

I spoke to fitbit! The samsung s20 is not compatible with the fitbit and you cant connect your phone and headphones to the watch at the same time. Only one or the other!

Well after being on fitbit for almost 2 years I finally bit the bullet and switched to a Galaxy watch active 2.  My Versa randomly died and wouldn't turn back on after a reset and it was out of warranty.  I got a Versa 2 but only kept it for a week before returning it.

The fact that I couldn't reliably pair my galaxy buds to it, coupled with what I found out about the connected GPS doing weird data manipulation (https://www.reddit.com/r/fitbit/comments/dtj9ln/why_you_shouldnt_trust_connected_gps/) I made the switch.

I must say that aside from the shorter battery life the galaxy watch is so much better.  What I lose in the data from Fitbit compared to samsung health I gain a fully featured smartwatch with built in gps that flawlessly connects to and plays music with my earbuds.  And after updates that fixed GPS accuracy it all seems good.

Yep, i bought the galaxy active2 watch and i love it. Tracks my runs and dont need to have my phone on me or connected when going for exercise. Connects to my wireless earbuds and can download all my spotify playlists offline. Love it!

Thank you so so much!!! I was seriously considering returning my brand new Versa 2 and purchasing a Samsung Active watch.
