My left button isn’t working on my Versa. Managed to do a factory reset but now it is stuck on the “hold for shortcuts” start screen. I can’t clear this as my left button doesn’t work. Help ???

Depending on your phone OS and the updated version on the watch you may
want to see if you can connect to a different phone and then try
reconnecting to yours. I had to use my wife's Iphone to connect to the
watch before it would let me connect my Pixel.
Good luck.

Mine isn’t working either. My versa 2 was one week out of warranty and all they offered me was 35% off the purchase of a new one. I’m done with Fitbit. Buyer beware.

I just fixed this 'left button not working' on my Versa by submerging the main body of the watch in a shallow glass of 99.9% isopropyl alcohol for about an hour.  Then took it out and kept pressing the faulty button, a lot of times.  Gradually the button started working again and now works perfectly.  Assume the problem is dirt obstructing the button contact inside which is dissolved/dislodged by the alcohol.

Thanks will give it a try

☆Here is a solution that worked for me. Take the watch off your wrist and put a few drops of 70% isopropyl on the left button with the left edge of the watch face up so that it soaks in a little. Work the button by pressing on it until you can feel the detent again. Repeat until you can feel the detent. I had to do this a number of times. You may have to press all three buttons to reset the FitBit. It seems that dirt and crud makes this button stick. It is better than having to buy a new fitbit.

Unfortunately I tried and it didn’t work. It’s not that it is not moving,
but nothing happens when I press it. I can’t reset the Fitbit

hello there ! I tried putting alcohol on all the 3 buttons. so far, left
button and upper right are now working. unfortunately, the lower right one
isn't working. you're right about putting some alcohol directly on the
buttons, probably helped soften any crude in there. will keep putting on
some more on the lower right button and hopefully it will be OK anytime
soon. will give update.

BTW, my versa1 has stucked buttons since March / April and I still keep it
even i already bought a versa2. I'm still hoping my versa1 will work again
so perhaps I can hand it down to another person and make it useful when all
3 buttons are up. 🙏

I made the mistake of not scrolling to the bottom and hitting the save button once I chose my shortcut. That’s literally all you have to do if you had a brain fart like I did.

I have a similar issue.

The left button still clicks but there's no response.

Got told by support to restart the watch but wasn't able to hold down to restart due to the button not working. So, instead I shut down the watch from the app.

Now I can't turn the watch back on. Any suggestions or fixes?

I have the same issue. I’ve tried soaking in Ethanol as suggested by others
to dislodge any dirt but the issue is I can’t restart or even sync up to my
mobile. In the end I just bought another one on special.

I happen to read one of the replies here... he actually and repeatedly
applied alcohol on the buttons, at least to get rid of any sediments which
have formed over the course of its use and he said it worked and the
buttons were now functioning. he had to apply it tediously / repeatedly. I
did the same on the 3 buttons of my versa 1. now, 2 buttons are working
except for the one in the lower right. hoping one day, 3rd button will
start working. 🙏
(already got myself a versa 2 and still hoping versa 1 will still work so I
can pass it on to my sibling ) 😃

Someone posted on the thread that they applied alcohol to the buttons and this loosened and this got rid of any sediments that had built up inside there. I tried this and applied using a cotton Bud abs just kept pressing abs it eventually worked!

I’m having the same issue.  My Fitbit was stuck in the exercise auto turning in loop and support had me reset back to factory settings. Now the left button is not functioning at all

Hello @RicardoFitbit, I saw that you helped some other people that had the same problem as me. My left button stopped working about a year ago, I assume from water damage, and I ended up just forgetting about it, but now I'm looking to use my Fitbit again. I'm not sure if it's possible to fix, but I thought I'd contact you anyway.
