Versa 3 strap keeps falling off

Hello!

I got a Versa 3 a few weeks back, and I've been having an issue with the strap.  The top strap keeps just coming undone from the watch side for no reason.

I've tried 2 different Original Fitbit straps, and a 3rd party one.  Same issue with all of them.  I can hear it click in place when I fit the strap, but then I'll be doing something and it just falls off.

What did customer service say this time?? Have you contacted them??
I’m also worried that my replacement will develop the same problem.
why did you get a refurbished one & not a new one??

Got the replacement today but was not very happy that I got a refurbished Pebble! although I did get a brand new strap.

I’ve only had it a month so was expecting a brand new one as replacement.

If I’d bought from Amazon they would’ve replaced it with a brand new one I’m sure!
I’ve decided to try the Premium this time as it’s free for 6 months on this model

you may have already tried this but there’s a right way round for the strap to be fitted. There’s a little groove on the reverse of the strap that fits into the catch.

I've had the same problem since I got my Versa 3 a couple of weeks ago. What I'm noticing here is just a bad design flaw. What is happening here (at least in my case) is that sometimes the little switch that releases the band is getting pushed when the wrist is moved or the watch is bumped. In my case, the top of the watch is lying closer to the arm than the bottom which is why the top is being released but not the bottom.

To illustrate, note the pic below. This is a side view looking from my hand down my wrist. Note that on one side there is an opening where you can see daylight while the other side is closed. The closed side is the top of the watch. This side being closer to the arm is leading to accidental pushes of the release button. I've had it happen when I simply flicked my wrist to check the time. I don't know how a design flaw like this wasn't caught in product testing. (I do product testing as part of my job so I'm not just throwing shade when I say that. I actually know a bit about doing it.)

@Jaclyn.54027557 I may not be seeing the whole issue but it looks to me like you have a different issue than what I described. Looks like your band is broken (like the end came off). A replacement band should be all you need.

Yes they replaced it but now the same thing has happened again.

So the strap actually broke then?

On mine the bottom clip was just flapping & not staying connected to the strap.

So the strap broke not the catch on the watch

they replaced the strap with no issue at all. customer service is really great.

the strap design is really a bad flaw which is disappointing. so I am worried about when my watch is out of warranty.
