Versa 3 strap keeps falling off

Hello!

I got a Versa 3 a few weeks back, and I've been having an issue with the strap.  The top strap keeps just coming undone from the watch side for no reason.

I've tried 2 different Original Fitbit straps, and a 3rd party one.  Same issue with all of them.  I can hear it click in place when I fit the strap, but then I'll be doing something and it just falls off.

@Jaclyn.54027557 It would seem to me that if your device itself is working properly then maybe a 3rd party band is the way to go.

You know as well as we all do that the connection to the versa 3 strap wise does not work! Everyone having the same issues and you guys claiming the customer is too dumb to follow instructions properly although we do hear the click it still falls off! Another money maker for fitbit but a nightmare for the customer

I agree. Whether it's poor design or poor manufacturing (could be a combination of both), this connector is terrible. I wear a different band to bed than I do during the day so I deal with it every day. Annoyed and frustrated are two words that come to mind daily when I'm changing bands (there are other words I won't repeat here). It would seem to me that enough people are experiencing this issue that a real fix (not simply replacing with refurbs) and free trade-in for the fixed version and/or recall are in order.

How long have you had your replacement? I just got replacement straps a couple of hours ago and they just fell off  so I think I need to return it.

That's not good it wasn't your fault, they made a product with a flaw. I think I will stay away from fitbit all together now.

Tim,
Fitbit did nothing for me. Maybe you will me lucky. Let me know what
they say. https://contact.fitbit.com
According to the agreement, you can request arbitration. They have to pay
for the arbitration. I think now I will file for arbitration. A lot of
people have this problem. and it should not be ignored,

All of mine keep coming off too and I'm afraid I'm going to lose them or it's going to get broken I don't know why they had to change it the band on Fitbit versa 2 was nice and it fit great then they give us this piece of crap and I don't care how you put it on there's always one to keep coming off I've tried Fitbit brands and third party brands.. why is nobody helping us do a recall on them fix it these things cost too much don't come out with a new watch right now fix what's the old do what's right

Absolutely agree with you @Mudge49 a recall on the versa 3 is absolutely needed, my Fitbit is now sitting gathering dust in my draw.

I don't care how many times you read the manual it does not stay connected. Come on FITBIT help us out retro this design or you will be losing alot of customers and it is a shame because I like the watch!!!!

Just an update, I gave up trying to get this fixed.  I actually ended up putting insulation tape on the switches when I changed the strap.  I'm expecting it to croak in a couple of months as they usually last to the 2-year mark but I'll not be buying another after this.

The Blaze has it's issues, but at least I didn't worry it would drop off while I was wearing it.

Well good idea but I still think that they should retrofit this thing to
work better this is ridiculous and I too I'm not going to buy another Fitbit

@BeakerUK I've been considering a workaround like this as well. Can you post a picture of yours?
