@Ann133 That’s what I did. I took my original fitbit I had to begin with before they had sent me a secondary replacement in 2019. The original is working just fine...for now. I’ll see how it does for a week. 🤔🤷🏻:female_sign:

My first and second ones wont do anything. Just has a red check and says all data did not clear and to try to sync again.

@KMurphy8 I did it with Bluethooth. I made sure it was not connected to the bluetooth on my Android phone, downloaded the Fitbit App om my windows 10 computer, Paired it on bluetooth and did the update via the Windows 10 app. Much faster.

I'm trying to update my Versa Lite, and the support team has mentioned to have my fitbit app "running in the background" what does that mean?

I am having a hugely frustrating experience and am tempted to give up. I received a Versa Lite as an Xmas gift and had nine whole days of trouble-free use. This Saturday morning I found the red 'X' and 'data not synched' screen had appeared overnight.
Since then I have tried every possible combination suggested on this forum of removing and re-adding the device from the Fitbit app, uninstalling and reinstalling the Fitbit app from my phone, attempting to update the firmware, everything, all to no avail. It all just keep bringing me back to that red 'X'.
The multiple threads and inconclusive 'solutions' on the forum don't inspire any hope. It's such a shame as for nine days it was such a nice gift! Also I'd previously had years of trouble-free use of the Fitbit Flex. Am I better off suggesting my partner just gets a refund and I go back to that Flex?

the issue with fitbit versa started when firmware was updated. the device doesnt work correctly and the update wont load.
I'm awaiting my third fitbit versa lite replacement. I feel totally fobbed off by fitbit. they know the devices they are sending will not work or load firmware. I just want a refund or credit note. think it's all because versa lites update via bluetooth but newer devices update by wifi. just my thoughts. feels like a round about way to get people to upgrade?!I had a charge 2 for years with no issues but gave it away. wish I hadn't now!!

@KMurphy8 through the computer go to http://www.fitbit.com/setup
This will direct you to the software to install and run.
Run the software and log in if you run the Win 10 OS.
If your computer has Bluetooth your good. If not you will need a Bluetooth dongle.
