I got a new Galaxy S9+ a few weeks ago and was thrilled with the battery life. By the end of the day I'd still have around 20% battery left. I just started using my new Versa 4 days ago, and every day since my phone's battery has been down to single digits by early afternoon. I disabled All-Day Sync, but that hasn't helped. Any thoughts? TIA!

@Jayelo yes, they are both on, but they always have been, and it's never been an issue? I've had my phone for a year now and never had battery issues, until I got the Versa?

What about your clock face? Does it include weather? Just wondering if it could a hidden permission where it's accessing your photo to get/update weather info.

@dianewordsmith it does have weather, and most of the time it doesn't show the temp. Maybe I'll try another watch face just to see if it helps, as I don't need the weather on my main clock face

@MrsPottsTx A warm welcome to our Community! This is really odd. Could you please provide a screenshot of the battery manager on your phone? This should show which apps are draining most of the battery on your phone. Also thank you for providing the information @NellyG requested.
I look forward to your reply!

@MrsPottsTx What version of Android are you running?
If you are running Android 8 (or maybe even 7) or higher, there are options in the battery settings where you can configure the Fitbit app such that it doesn't run in the background all the time.
Also, in the Fitbit app, I disabled all-day sync as that helps your phone battery.

I see many posts to conserve battery use the "default" Fitbit clock face. Which one is that?

It's called Layers and it's the default clock face that would have shown when you first set up your Versa.

I've been fiddling with some clock faces myself.. the first one I downloaded was Glitch, and ended up going back to it again. as much as I loved the Neon clock, the HR stopped updating on it and my battery started draining a LOT faster. Upon switching to Layers, it was better, but still wanted some more battery life.. back to Glitch again, and it's the best I've had of these ones. I'm on exactly two days since full charge and I'm at 74% (all the settings turned down/off as recommended - including "normal sleep" monitoring and click-to-view screen). At this rate, battery should last almost 8 days. I'd love to see what others have to say about their clock faces in relation to proper syncing and battery life!

All I know is that I was using SpaceX and had issues with my Versa restarting itself often. Switch out to a new one and no issues since. So be aware of that one...FYI.

My S8 is having the same issue. My battery was completely dead for the first time ever by 8pm. Never happened before my versa. 😕

I ended up taking the following actions:
My battery life on my S9+ is now about as good as before I got the Versa. I'm not sure which of those actions helped most, though the first clock face I chose was one that displayed the temperature and had an animation for the weather conditions, and I have a suspicion that constantly updating the weather was draining the battery quite a bit.

Yes I've noticed huge battery drain. Using Motorola g5 plus and could go 2 days without charge (using pebble 2) now with versa my phone is nearly dead before I get home from work. Due to this flaw with versa and notifications not working and music controls not working and because I'm missing important calls and texts arrive late and screen doesn't wake up easily and general lack of options and zero customisable buttons, I've gone back to pebble 2 while combining with the word Fitbit with other swear words.

Hey, everyone!
For those of you still experiencing a fast battery drain on your phones, I'd like to ask which specific clockface you were using on your Versa when the battery issues began? This will help us narrow down the causes of the battery drain.
I'd also like to recommend you try @AndDre's recommendations:
@AndDre wrote:
I ended up taking the following actions:
- Turned off all-day sync
- Turned off reminders to move
- Turned off always connected
- Turned off keep-alive widget
- Chose a clock face that only shows the time, date, and heart rate
Please let me know if this helps!

I'm using a windows phone and it's not super bad, but I did notice that my battery DOES drain a bit faster now that I use this Versa watch. I just always chock up my bad experiences to not having the support that android and iOS have, but now seeing that others are having battery drain issues, I'd have to say that I'm having similar problems.
