Versa keeps restarting by itself

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Versa restarts every five seconds. My watch will turn on and the logo will display.  Once it’s up the screen freezes and i can’t do anything.   Within a few seconds it restarts.  It has restarted over 50 times within an hour.

I’ve been having problems for the last few weeks.  Everyday it’s something different

Likewise. Fit "support" is worse than bots, useless. Clearly the problem was caused by Fitbit, which means that the 1-year warranty doesn't matter. The support chat person seemed to ignore my comments and simply pasted canned responses.
In the end, I was essentially told, "spend another $100 (at min.) on a new device or take a hike".
That exactly what I intend on doing... hiking far away from Fitbit. I'll give the Wyze tracker a try.

MarreFitbit,

I appreciate a response. Being honest though, we all know Fitbit firmware caused thousands of trackers to die. People's complaints and frustrations with Fitbit's denials are growing (again). The company would have helped its reputation, especially during a potential acquisition, had the company been forthright and taken the relatively minor financial hit by replacing what the firmware/software broke. Regardless of warranty status.

Imagine that your mobile phone, that you spent a hefty amount of money on,  received an update and your phone bricked shortly after. You contact the company and they tell you that you are out of luck since they are covered by some "catch-all" user agreement. You'd be justifiably furious... and that's why we are.

See below for some further evidence from media and web:

Quite a few people discussing it on Reddit as well, specifically the Versa series this time, in addition to the Iconic.

Fortunately, I still have a working HR2. Once it's done, I'll be done with Pre-Google Fitbit.

My versa lite keeps restarting by itself and also the swipe feature is not working. Is not even a year old and it’s very frustrating. Can anyone help with this please ?

Same issues with restarting every 5 minutes, but the watch getting hot to the touch when charging was more troubling than anything else.

I have this problem as well. It seems like a quality issue for this device, FitBit should be replacing devices with this issue for FREE despite warranty timelines!

I am having exactly the same issue!

I have tried to reset the device multiple times, but it is still restarting every 5 seconds.

The watch face that I am using is the classical Fitbit Versa face from Fitbit.

Do you have any solution for this problem?

Thanks a lot!

I am having this problem too, I'm using the Fitbit click face with SPO2 monitor. The issue seems to be worse when the battery is below around 60% as it has been fine for a couple of days since its last charge then started restarting repeatedly again this morning.

Hi there. No, no solution. Fitbit suggested that the problem was "normal" use and, after many other people complained, offered a discount on a new device.
This was all before Google completed acquiring Fitbit.

This is now an issue for me as well I have changed clock face to a fitbit one not third party, reset multiple times and my screen is also fading even though  I have it set at high. I'm really starting ti get frustrated.  I've had multiple issues with this model for years. I'm on my third replacement but I'm serious considering a different brand.
