I did factory reset then when that didn't work I called fitbit, they said
there was something hung in the system on the reset. Fitbit rep fixed it
on there end and it has worked fine since then...so far so good. I hate
calling any customer service but sometimes that's all that will work. Good
news is Fitbit help is very pleasant and usually successful. Good luck!

I am having this same problem. When I reset, it works for a little bit but like a half hour later - it doesn’t work anymore. Not sure what else to do?

I’ve had the same issue...did all the above...wouldn’t sync after the reset so had to reset again, now the screen won’t let me get past quick tips. The app says all is good but the watch isn’t responding

I contacted fitbit through twitter and have to admit they were amazing, within a few days they had sent a replacement out. Definitely recommend making contact with them.

Same thing is happening with mine! I have restarted, changed the clock face, and have done two factory resets. Nothing has worked at all!

I finally called the customer service and they replaced my unit. Sounds like they know about the issues as it wasn’t an issue to replace and they didn’t want the old one back

Glad some of you have had success getting a replacement.  I'm on the phone with Customer Service and they want to go through a battery of troubleshooting steps that all of you have tried, and I have tried.  And with my previous attempts, the screen still freezes.  But now I 'm hold with CS listening to Bethoven music.  I want to be positive, fingers crossed, that Fitbit will follow the same that some of you have successfully had and replace this device without a lot of  hassle.

I followed these instructions for a factory reset (as I was also having touchscreen issues) and now the device will not turn back on or even respond when plugged into the charger.

The battery has recently been charged (on approx. 80%) so this can't be the issue either.

Do you have any advice?

I would highly recommend getting in touch with Fitbit, I did this through Twitter. Explain the issues, they'll ask some questions but I had a replacement sent out within a week.

Contact Fitbit help line this is what I finally had to do. They fixed an
issue in the system to help with update issues and finally it worked
correctly. I haven't had a problem since.
