Versa suddenly died, no reaction to charge or reset.

Mine died last week while 80% charged. Completely black screen. Did the reset - nothing. It was a Christmas present 2018. Fourteen months old, out of warranty and dead. Not cost effective when retired. Time to look at other brands...and their life expectancy.

screen is dead. I get data sent to my phone, the watch buzzes when I get
a call but screen stays totally black

I'm having the same problem now. I have tried everything everyine has suggested. I even taped my buttons so I didn't have to hokd them for the 3 mins someone had suggested. I bought my versa in June of 2018 so it has no warranty now. I have had it act up before and pushing and holding buttons or putting back on chargwr for a min or two and qould comw back on now nothing. It does I put on charger all day Sunday. I took it off and it showed the time and everything. Went to bed that night woke up in thw middle of the night went to check time and it was black. So that next day I tried everything undwr the sun. This sucks. I really loved my versa but I can't spend anothwr 200 right now.

Funny thing happened suddenly I see this thread has been marked "Answered" I wonder what the requirement for that to happen was since so many folks are still having the problem.
I received the same message from Fitbit the other day telling me I was out of warranty ( Like I didn't know) and they offered me 25% off. Excuse me but that's the same discount someone without a Fitbit is being offered in retail stores. So basically that's like saying "Your on your own, and good luck"
My Versa Battery situation is getting worse. I charged my little pet yesterday and now it's down to 60% in a day and a half. I haven't let it run down yet for fear it will not come back so I recharge it at about 20% which should be in the morning. It's been 3 weeks since the last time I've turned it off. That last update is more like a virus than an update

SInce my post on 3/21 I have tried everything to revive my Versa to no avail, and have let Fitbit know that their only remedy for me is to purchase a new one with a 25% discount is unacceptable as this appears to be a widespread QC issue that occurred immediately after updating the firmware. I have since reverted to using my Pebble 2 (using Rebble) and Apple Watch Series 0 which both function fine.
After seeing numerous Versa owners here in these forums experiencing the same fate for their Versa, and knowing friends and family that have had nothing but similar problems (dead, won't recharge) with their Fitbit fitness trackers, I've come to the unfortunate conclusion that it's time for me to move on from the Fitbit community, any new future purchase will not be a Fitbit device.
I sincerely hope Fitbit improves their QC and thrives as a smartwatch company under Google, at which point I reserve my right to reassess my decision.

There is only one button on my Versa? What other buttons? I received mine in December and have only had it for 4 months

Keep trying everyone. I know how frustrating it is. This has happened to me 3 times now. This last time I thought it was done my for good but after 3 days of holding down all three buttons again and again. It finally worked.

Keep trying all 3 buttons. This has happened to me 3 times now. Just happened again and I thought for sure it was done for good this time. But after 3 days of trying all 3 buttons it finally came back. Don't give up!
