we recently bought 2 versas...one for my husband one for me. Bought them 6 days ago. I set them up both the same way with no problems. On day 2 of having them we both received a notification on our phones that our fitbit app had updated. Ever since then my versa has not been receiving text message notifications. My husbands is working fine. I receive all other notifications (messenger, email, calendar, life360, facebook, instagram, etc. I have called customer support and done a live chat with no resoulution. I have looked on the forum and have not found an answer. I even factoy reset the versa and deleted the app restarted my phone and started all over again. That didnt work. I have went through all the troubleshooting that the support has had me do. Has anyone had this problem? It was working until I got that message that the app updated. I didnt change anything on my versa or my phone. It was working then it quit. My husbands is working and he has the same phone and same style versa. Below is the phone i have...
Samsung Galaxy S9+
Thank you for any help!

Wife and I are having same problem. I have Pixel, she has Samsung Galaxy s9. Both were working till about a week or two ago. First her's stopped working then, yesterday mine. Have tried everything short of factory reset. Maybe has to do with update? This sucks!

Its Google's android messaging app. Its called Messages. I just decided to try it since my versa stopped receiving notifications after I did the last update. I was desperate and annoyed and everything Fitbit says to try wasnt working. I cant tell you how many times I reset the stupid thing. I downloaded the messaging app from the app store and switched to that instead of the default messaging app on my s9. I then switched the default in fitbit to receive notifications from that app. I've been receiving my text notifications on my versa since then. It's a few steps.. but it worked for me...would be easier if fitbit just fixed the problem though

I’m having the same issue. Driving me crazy. I did find if you hold down left button ONLY there is a notification that shows turned off. I turned it back on but I’m still not receiving text messages etc

Thank you so much for posting this, this worked for me too. I know we shouldn't have to do all of this but at least I'm getting my text notifications now.

I am having this problem too. Its been 6 weeks, my iPhone is up to date. Spoke to customer support who troubleshooted with me. I have everything in order. They said it was a problem they were aware of. But I don't understand why it hasn't been fixed yet.

I thought it was just me, but then my coworker Said she wasn’t getting notifications/texts either. Might have to switch to an Apple Watch after all. I’ve had Fitbit for five years, but if I can’t get my text notifications I can’t do my job right.

Gm. Am having the same issue. Per support team at fitbit it has something to do with the update on the actual app. He stated they are working on fixing the issue

So frustrating. You may be right about the iPhone.
If they aware its a a problem and its been going on for so long, you would figure it would be fixed by now.

I agree if they are aware then why not make that a priority to fix it. I have posted on their facebook page, chatted with customer service, called, and posted on here. The more people that call the quicker they will fix the problem. We had samsung gearfit pro 2 watches before. We changed for my husband work app so it could track his steps more accurately.

My issue is the text not working. The coach app downloaded on mine. I haven't looked but can you delete the coach app?
