Allow multiple devices on the same account (Sense/Versa series, Inspire, Charge & Luxe)

Be allowed to have both a Fitbit Versa and a Fitbit Ionic on the same account so you can easily switch between them.

I really like it. I have old Garmin’s too.. I have been able to add my new Garmin’s to the same account as my old ones.

This is just ridiculous. I have sold my Fitbit over a year ago since not one wheel turned here to get the basic features working. I am still watching the topics I have voted on to see how stuff progresses. But nothing ever happens apart from more people complaining and you guys writing "thanks for your suggestion". I will never ever ever ever consider getting near a Fitbit again. And I will never ever recommend one to anybody except when I hate that person. What is wrong with you guys at Fitbit? Worst company ever! Not that you will ever care as long as there are enough people falling for your crap.

FYI: I am owning my third Garmin watch now and friends switched to Garmin as well. Advertised features just work there. And there is a high chance that most wanted, not previously advertised features will be implemented or "backported" to older watches/devices (Happened with Vivoactive Features that have been ported to a Fenix 5 later as well. As well as the other way around. And I don't have to wait for ages when there is a release to get it installed). So while Garmin ports nice to have features Fitbit doesn't even manage to get advertised features working. Oh and every device works through the same app and at the same time, too without ever interfering. I can, for example, track my bike commute with my Edge and HR strap and at the same let my wristwatch track additional data my HR strap cannot provide. It all gets merged nicely without duplicates. So Fitbit ... what do you say now?

Agree.  I am extremely disappointed that I cannot use both Versa and Inspire interchangeably.  I was hoping to use both - Inspire for work with the belt clip and Vrsa for workouts.

I find it absurd that you can't have any of the new devices share a single account. I have a Versa, which means that in order to track my steps, I have to wear it all the time. I want to be able to switch to an Inspire on my hip when I need to wear an adult watch to work. The ugly plasticky Versa is fine for a fitness device, but doesn't go well with a suit.

Fitbit devices used to play nice with each other. Did the competent programmers leave the company?

Reading ten pages of comments going back a year makes me realize that Fitbit does not care about this at all. Looking for other options.

They were excited to buy the Pebble watch company for the OS but didn’t realize that it didn’t have the opportunity to support multiple devices like Fitbit always did!

@Tags24 I had two Pebbles on my Pebble account ...

Dear Fitbit Team,

can't you feel it? You disappoint 50% of your loyal customers and that number is increasing so rapidly...

You will be just a bad history in 12 months if you do not change your attitude towards customers and give them what they actually want.

Very sad, actually...

Regards!

It's now coming up on a year that was suggested, still nothing except "thanks for your input, we are looking at this".

I'm in mobile development - its not that hard to do.   Maybe Fitbit needs to look at its IT department and get some qualified people in there???  I feel like I just bought a lamp oil light, yet Edison invented the light bulb a year ago.

Wow. The fact that this is still an issue is amazing. I've owned just about every fitbit - but...the Charge 3 and Versa will be my last. Excellent example of how to make yourself obsolete by ignoring your loyal customers....well done! It will be a painful breakup - we've been together a long time. But...you've let me down one too many times!

Fitbit can't do it, but somehow Garmin has it figured out ...

@GolfBlogger.Com Everyone has figured this out. Even Pebble had. I switched my Pebbles daily. Without ever doing more than just putting another one on. Garmin is even capable of merging activities from different devices that have been worn at the same time during the activity. It's a shame

My job has a fitness challenge and a requirement of the challenge includes wearing a Charge 3. However, I have a Versa. Unfortunately, I cannot wear both and will be forced to box a $300 gadget if I do the challenge at work. This is irritating. Please fix this issue!

Please make it happen. I recently bought a Charge 3 and an Ionic thinking that I could connect both to my account, but I can't as it turns out. It wasn't clearly messaged in any of the marketing materials except that there was a small fine print.

As much as I would like this, too (I'm a developer, and I need to swap back and forth for testing) this request has all of 323 votes (at the time of this writing.)

Two requests to have the screen stay on longer/permanently have over 3,700 and 6,700 votes respectively.

Heck, even the request to have Pokemon Go sync up has over 800.

As "simple" as many think it may be, every company has limited resources. I don't blame FitBit for responding to the highest-demanded requests first.

Having said that, I do think this is a much more of a need-to-have than keeping the screen on longer. If the screen goes blank too soon, I don't think you'll see as many people getting as angry as they do after spending hundreds of dollars and feeling that money was wasted.

Like many others, I’ve been loyal to the Fitbit brand for years.  I’ve owned various incarnations. But, not having checked the forum ahead of time, was shocked to find that syncing a Charge 3 removed my previously installed Versa ... it is impossible, at present to have both on the same account!

The former is the watch that I bought for my Dad and which, following his passing, I’d hoped to use of some of my longer treks.  My stylish Versa, a gift from my husband, was supposed to be able to take on the other duties of monitoring life in the fast lane.  Both have strong emotional ties ... never thought it was going to have to be a choice.

So, this is a sincerely flawed finding ... it has to be one or the other?  Unacceptable.

Why not more comments on this topic?  Costs of these watches are not insubstantial and, I suspect, not many people are free to spend their dollars in a reckless manner.  This may not be a priority for developers to fix now ... but infuriating your base on a simple issue of having multiple devices on one account is a sure fire way to having accounts cease to exist, in the future.

Please prioritize an amendment and shout it’s arrival to the masses!

Excellent point. I too have been a loyal fitbit user pretty much since the beginning. As most people, i dont just have extra money sitting around to spend on what is truly a fun item to have but not a life necessity. So when you decide to spend 200 on a versa to use along with a more daily charge 3, yes its frustrating when yoy cant use both, when prior this was never an issue. After years of support its very frustrating that now i have a useless 200 item.

Me too. I posted my first concern about this issue nearly a year ago. All that has happened is I was asked to respond to a stupid poll that was not relevant to the issue. This lack of responsiveness is a case study of a Leadership Team that has decided to focus on something other than their customers. I won’t guess what that “other” might be. I have three devices that don’t communicate. I guess I trusted too much. Sad.

Fitbit should allow the Charge 3 and Ionic on the same account, since the Ionic has GPS and the Charge 3 does not.
