Customizable Challenges (like start date, duration etc)

I would like to be able to set which days I want for a challenge. Not all of my friends work a workweek (Mon-Fri). I would like to be able to make a challenge thats like Thurs-Sun or Mon-Wed-Fri. Or whatever days my friends work during that week. Choose teams and partners.

I know, I'm just hoping for this next update to have it, if it doesn't then I'm with you 100%.

Also, I'm quite upset, the app glitches a bit with the daily showdown, once it made 3 and I only clicked it once. Well, this most recent mess up, mades me really upset. I invited 1 person extra to the showdown, then the next thing I know, Fitbit decided on its own to invite some other person, after I invited the person I want. WHAT THE HEACK!?!? I'm very upset. I didn't invite them, coz they make the competition unfair, next thing I know, there they are winning. This defeated my workout earlier, and will suspend any other plans I had. WHAT THE HEACK? Anyone else ever had this happen??!??

Maybe change to 5 challenges of each type of challenge. Would love to have a flight challenge too.

After a couple people got a fitbit at my work, they shared the awesomeness with everyone and now new people are getting them all the time. I have about 15 work buddies (and that doesn't even include my other friends/family that had them already) that are super competitive with challenges.
Would ABSOLUTELY LOVE to see the challenge limit increase to 20 instead of 10.
Having to do multiple challenges isn't as awesome since you can't all be against eachother in the same group reading the same encouragement and comments.

29 pages of this and no dev action.

like another user said:

Fitbit will NEVER implement these changes.

does anybody know of any other app that links into fitbit data and can do this simple thing of having more than 5 challenges running at the same time.

or god forbid have more people in a challenge.

Custom Challenges sound great! This way we can adjust the dates to which fits better for us!

Not a lot signed hence spreading it again. Because no matter how often you post on the forum, it won't get changed. Something big is going to start globally.

i just got a lovely comment from a fb page i posted it on [bearing in mind this page is to do with wearing fitbits, its not an offical fitbit site] the said

FFS...are you serious???? Bad **ahem** happening in the world and you put a petition up for this. Unreal.

now i was rather peed off as the site is to do with fitbits and a certain weekly run it is not a general whats going on wih the world site ect. it really annoyed me.

I, among many others, would like to see a feature in the app to make up our own challenges including my Fitbit friends. Whether I would make one for how many active minutes we can do in a day, how many floors, how many calories, etc. I would like to be able to be creative in challenges and I feel like it would maximize the benefits of the Fitbit product.

Well, that's the dopiest response I'd ever expect... Why bother posting it on a Fitbit page anyway?? There's Amnesty International or the news of other items. Please just keep it Fitbit related in here. WE know there's an outside world.

Requesting more challeges, besides steps. Calories burned, minutes active, miles ran, minutes at peak, cardio, & fat burning mode. I work at a desk in a hotel 10 hr days, & steps is not my strength. I join the challenges to be competitive, but the steps challenges are getting boring. I do love the product though. Thank you fitbit!

ummm i thought the point was to get ppl to sign it and the more ppl the better? i would have thought it was pointless just keeping it here as you need new ppl to join but just ppl who are already asking for this ......its called spreading the word

This thread has 112 votes at this time.  I thread above has 1812 and is (under consideration).  I suggest making sure you vote, and share this with all of the friends you are trying to get into challenges with.  With 718 comments, if each of you have just 10 friends (some obviously have more since they want more than 10) that means this thread should have at least 7,000 votes for it.

Obviously developers time is limited and split between many projects, lets make this one of them as a community.  Get it to the top with votes.

I love the challenges on the fitbit.  Myself and a fairly large group usually have at least one or two going due to the limit of 10 people.  There are so many different sources of data, I would love to see a completely customizable challenge where you could take any data point and turn it into a challenge.

Something like this:

Challenge type: [steps, hours of sleep, resting heart rate, stairs, weight loss etc]

Duration: [for how long]

Race or Overall: [pre-set a target or just whoever can do the most]

The challenges on the app are incredibly ljmited, they all only involve steps. I want to be able to pick what metric we are competing at and the length of time! It's insane that this doesn't exist yet

The ability to have a custom name (in addition to the type of challenge - Workweek Hustle, etc) so that is is easy to differientiate between each of your active challenges.  For example, when I have multiple Workweek Hustles I would like to be able to add a label of "Family", "Girlfriends" "Coworkers" etc.  Its hard to tell which challenge is for which groups just by the small thumbnail photos - and the more people involved, the smaller they get.

Can you make a new function that allows people to set their own challenges withing friend groups....please. the ones on their are ok but could be way more fun or add more choice of challenges including steps and activity.

Would be wonderful to be able to add our own challenges 🙂
Like a 100 km walk/run/bike challenge in April?

I agree! It’s frustrating how you have to wait for a workweek hustle to finish before you can join a weekend worrier, and vice versa. I wish we didn’t have to wait for everyone to sync before the challenge is complete because I haven’t been able to join some challenges since the app thinks I am already in 5 challenges when those challenges are actually over.

If also like to see more challenges added as I believe these are really beneficial to the goal of Fitbit - they help me move but doing the same one repeatedly can get a bit old

Hi everyone! I don't know about everyone else, but I am always in a challenge at some point of the week. The thing that dissapoints me is that there is only the 4 challenges you can play(as far as I know) , and to me they're getting a little boring. I would like to see an option where you can create you own challenges. You have categories such as Steps, Distance, Calories, Active Minutes, and Floors (for those compatible) Then you can set a value (such as 4km, 8000 calories, etc.) Then you can set a time period (one day, weekend, workweed, etc.) I would love to see this implemented into both the mobile apps, and PC version!
