Customizable Challenges (like start date, duration etc)

I would like to be able to set which days I want for a challenge. Not all of my friends work a workweek (Mon-Fri). I would like to be able to make a challenge thats like Thurs-Sun or Mon-Wed-Fri. Or whatever days my friends work during that week. Choose teams and partners.

I suggest allowing people to set up their own challenges , picking there own time frame and dates and sending request to friends.

Could we have a update on if there is anything new regarding challenges please?

Personally I would like far more step challenges with greater participation. 10 is nowhere near enough. Stairs challenges would also be great.

Yes these have been asked for years with the same old responses wheeled out by mods/devs. Could someone please breath some freshness and be totally honest with us please

Thankyou

Can we have a weekly and daily challenge for active minutes?

Yes will be very helpful to enable option of selecting the days. I live in Dubai and our workweek starts Sunday-Thursday. friday-Saturday is weekend.

Yeah, but Fitbit doesn't care at all about the huge population of the world
that works Sunday-Thursday. As far as I'm concerned it's religious
discrimination.

I'd love to be able to create custom challenges for local groups or just friends. For example: local 5k that everyone can join so we're all doing the same challenge. Or I have an event and want to do a 1 day challenge with everyone that shows up. Or being able to actually integrate with Strava for certain challenges and races would be great.

The work week in the UAE is Sunday-Thursday. I would love to make a custom Workweek Hustle that reflects that!

I also am someone who lives in the UAE where the work week is Sunday to Monday. It really makes it hard to sync our FitBit challenges in with the fitness program we have begun at school.

Hello!  my sister and I both get many steps just based on our jobs and lifestyle- that doesnt totally translate into our goals of exercises more often- we wanted a fit bit challenge where we could go head to head in a group of minutes exercised- either weekend or weekday style

Yes! I've been thinking this for a while! It will also be great because if you are going at an event/on holiday, you can challenge your friends for the dates you are there!

I like the goal day challenge because it keeps me motivated.  It's just tiresome to have to star a new one daily and the workweek hustle puts too much pressure on me and some others in my group who are not as active yet.  It would be nice to be successful because I was able to reach my goal daily at the end of the week and not that I just had more steps than my friends.  We all have different step goals in my group so I think this would be a great challenge.

I would love to be able to create custom challenges, not only by steps, but by miles or some other measurements.  The steps don’t seem to be that accurate anyway.  My wife is shorter than me and if we walk the same distance together, she “should” have more steps than me, but I always have more.

I would like to have Challenges based on other activities than steps. After injuring my knee and hip last year walking a lot is not an option for me anymore. So I pedal and there are no challenges or even ways to earn badges for all the miles I have pedaled in the last year.

I have been using Garmin for quite some time and I like the flexibility to create challenges and share it with the participating users. I feel Fitbit has very limited challenges which don't change over time. That's kind of a turn-off.

I'd like to see some floors challenges and customizable start time challenges. Also, it would be neat if we could customize distance. Thanks!

The fitbit step challenges are focused around simply moving and getting on your feet. This concept is great and it motivates people to stand and walk regularly, but the fitbit community needs something more motivating. I have found that the step challenges can be skewed because steps do not directly correlate to exercise. For example, someone who walked one mile would have more steps than someone who went on a 40 mile bike ride or did an hour of yoga. There should be another style of challenges that focuses on the user's "active" minutes during the day. The tracker will record the amount of minutes that the user is above a certain percentage of their resting heart rate during the day. The challenger with the most minutes at the end of the day/week/weekend, will win the challenge. For example, if my resting heart rate is 50 bpm, the tracker will record each minute that my heart rate rises above 110 bpm (220% of my resting heart rate). The percentage will ensure that each challenger is exercising at their necessary level of effort. This type of challenge will benefit people who want to compete by a form of exercise and not just steps.

I think there should be an option to have a custom made challenge. That way you can taylor a challenge to fit you and your friends lifestyles better and get more variety. There are only a small selection of challenges now and they get old after a while.

I'd REALLY love to see more than steps or the distance trail challenges. I understand Fitbit originated from steps but we have to agree it's evolved past that, and quite nicely! I love to ride my bike and going to the gym. Perhaps other options for challenges such as rode most miles, weight lifting, kayaking, # of days aaweek with 20 plus min work outs. et.. So many ppl use Fitbit for more than walking! Also adding "bike" under the live tracking good for some if us who can't afford to get the gps Fitbit watches pls! Thank you for reading this

How about adding a new challenge...Midweek Madness (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays).  I see that some people don't always hustle as much on Mondays and Fridays in the challenges.

Hi recently i am receiving adds on facebook for walking challenges which offer either a monthly or yearly challenge. You cover miles starting st 50 going up to 200 over a month. Or 500 and 1000 miles over a year.

As i have done the current ones offered by fitbit and there are no new ones happening, which is really dissapointing as i thought you would continue to add them, i was wondering if this could be an alternative.

Rather than an actual journey like the New York challenge, you just do i mileage challenge.

Would love to challenge friends and family...especially my husband... to running workouts or sessions. Including distance ran, fastest time, or maybe just a way to log in your run. We both travel quite a bit for work and would love a way to keep the competitive edge and motivation  even from a distance ;). We have graduated past just step counts.

Can you add more activity-based challenges to the fitbit app?

EXAMPLES:

Stair challenges: Whomever does the most floors.

Bike challenges can include: longest durations, furthest distance, fastest speeds, etc.

(The bike one is a bit like Strava in that way)

Walking/running/hiking challenges: besides steps, can include elevation gained within a certain about of time. (May be the most difficult to implement, but can certainly become interesting addition)
