Fitbit Update 10/25/2015
Syncing food from MFP to Fitbit is now back to normal. Thank you again for everybody's patience while this problem was being worked out.
Fitbit Update 10/22/2015: MyFitnessPal is aware and has added this to their known issues page. Fitbit and MyFitnessPal are closely working together to get this issue resolved ASAP.
In the meantime, a workaround to try is to manually delete the duplicate entries from your Fitbit Food Log. In order to delete duplicate entries, do the following:
Another option is to unlink your MyFitnessPal account from your Fitbit account and checking your calories on MFP until the multiplying issue is fully resolved!
Thank you for your continued patience as we work alongside MFP to get this issue resolved!
Fitbit Update 10/21/2015: Some users have reported that their MyFitnessPal food log entries are being multiplied on their Fitbit Food Log.
Sorry for the inconvenience, but Fitbit and MyFitnessPal are both aware of the issue. We are currently working on resolving this issue with MFP's help. MyFitnessPal has also posted an update here as well. I will share updates here with everyone when I find out more! Thank you for your patience!

This IS a big deal. I rely on the interface of these apps to make may health/activity/dietary goals achievable. I want to spend my valuable free time achieving these goals, not correcting data entry errors that have been introduced.

You must really busy, if you can't fit the two minutes per day, to correct the entries, into your schedule, but I understand that's an extra 20 calories you could have been burning or two minutes off your recovery sleep. Just think, if you hadn't made that post or read any of the previous posts, you could have done the adjustments several times over.

Trust me, I didn't waste time reading a bzillion posts. Letting MFP and FB know client concerns is my goal, and that's how I spent that 30 seconds. Those 2 "extra" minutes? Those are for my family. Lose the snark and join the team!

Sorry, can't help the snark, it's just one of the many facets of my winning personality. I just think people should take a more positive approach to, what I agree, is not an ideal situation. I'm sure Fitbit and MFP will have it resolved fairly soon, until then you have a choice of spending that little extra time editing the data, leaving it recording incorrectly, saving some time by not recording your data or spending extra time looking for alternative means of recording it. There are probably other options I haven't considered, but I just wanted to save you a little time by giving you some options.

MFP bug fix out this morning. I've installed and it appears to have handled the issue.

Glad I am not the only one! I am going to ignore the bogus fitbit calculations and just continue logging on MFP and hopefully, Fitbit will figure it out!
