Fitbit Update 9/19/16
This issue where users experience a red "(not synced)" error next to their exercise logs on the iOS App has been resolved with the release of iOS App version 2.27. Click here to update your App if you haven't already.
Thanks you for everybody's patience while we worked this one out!
Fitbit Update 5/23
There is currently a bug where some iOS users see a red "(not synced)" error next to some of their exercise logs. Our team is aware and currently working on fixing this bug. Apologies for any inconvenience that this creates.
Please do not uninstall/reinstall the Fitbit App, uninstalling/reinstalling the Fitbit App could cause data loss. If possible, I would also recommend logging activities on Fitbit.com until a fix is available.

Now this is frustrating, FitBit Charge 2 comes out, and theres still problems with the GPS tracker running too long in sync with the Charge HR.
The best part is, after multiple warrenty claims (having had to swap out two in the past, and then one just recently), and now with this software issue plaguing the City 2 Surf Marathon, it's pretty frustrating...

This hapenned to me today. I tried the logging out and logging back in fix I saw in another one of your posts, and it deleted the run that wouldn't sync. So now it is gone completely.

I spent a week hiking in the mountains, I used the Runkeeper app to track myself. Over 60 miles of hiking and climbing, up to 12 miles a day and over 10 hours of tracking some days and it worked just fine, no faults or issues, everything sycned when I had a signal. I think the fitbit app is scrap for me now, my fitbit will just be pedometer. Till it breaks, then I will buy something else.

I've had this problem for months now. So many runs / walks not syncing. I see the map but not my stats / splits and it just keeps saying in red '(not synced)'. Any news Fitbit?

iOS 9.3.5
Fitbit App 2.26.1 (572)
Charge HR 122
Here's some straw clutching...
Today's walk of 1:22:50 (4970 seconds) sync'ed almost immediately.
Sunday's walk of 1:33:30 (5610 seconds) has not sync'ed.
4096 (2^12) + 1024 (2^10) = 5120
Does the GPS tracker take a data point once per second? More often? Less often? Would the easy sync / hard sync boundary occur at 5120 seconds, or 1:25:20?

After 5 month of use I give up now. I will bring back my fitbit hr to mediamarkt where I bought it and inform about its general defect.
I bought it with the main reason for using it to track my bike-rides in combination with the heart-rate. It was advertised by fitbit that this can be done with the related app.
But as we all know here, this ist not true for excercises over 90 Minutes. Fitbit confesses this problem since May but without offering a fix since now.
I will write a appropriate rating at amzon.de/uk/com to warn prospective buyers about this important restriction and the inactivity of fitbit to solve the problem. Perhaps others will follow me to show a little bit resistance against this ignorant company.

Gathering the above data, and adding a data point:
4096 (2^12) + 1024 (2^10) = 5120
8/29 - Walk - 1:33:30 (5610 seconds) - sync FAIL
8/31 - Walk - 1:22:50 (4970 seconds) - sync SUCCESS
9/5 - Walk - 1:29:01 (5341 seconds) - sync SUCCESS
I stopped in the middle of a walk to deliberately end the track at 1:29:01 and start a new track. Tomorrow or Wednesday, I'll go to 1:30:01 and see what happens.

Any word on this? I am seeing it happen more and more. Also I have noticed that with the FitBit Charge HR, it sometimes will double enter the exercise. What I mean by that is, I will start the FitBit iOS app and have it track the exercise, however, sometimes the auto tracking feature of the Charge HR kicks in and tracks another separate exercise. Any ideas on either issue?

@merrellsj @dafydd @markjprobert @Sdg729 @andomar @DaveWC it is a pleasure to have you with us.
@merrellsj I'm sorry to hear you encountered this issue with your Fitbit Charge HR. You might see the double exercise if you press the button and you Charge HR recognizes the exercise via SmartTrack. I recommend to only SmartTrack.
@dafydd @markjprobert @Sdg729The Fitbit device will sync all your information when you sync it. Make sure you have bluetooth and Internet connection. If you experience issues syncing your device I encourage you to follow the troubleshooting steps listed in this post by @AlejandraFitbit
@andomar That is correct! Your Fitbit Charge HR will track automatically your outdoor biking activity with the help of SmartTrack. If you feel the SmartTrack is not working properly, I invite you to perform a restart as mentionned by our friend @SunsetRunner in this post.
@DaveWC Thanks for your comments regarding Fitibt. Fitbit constantly work to create a better app and better trackers. Regarding the Kilojoules, you can add this information in MyFitnessPal.
Hope this information helps!

Hi, @CarlosMo,
After a few clicks, your link got me to this: http://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1186
That link leads me to believe a piece is missing from your suggestion.
My Charge HR syncs just fine with me iPhone app and fitbit.com. The failure is this: the step and heart rate counts from the Charge HR auto-detected exercises are not sync'ing with the GPS tracks generated by the "Track Exercise" option in the Fitbit smart phone app. For some reason, GPS tracks that are more than about 90 minutes long *will not sync* with their matching heart rate / step count tracks generated by the tracking devices.
That's the (not synced) problem we're having, here. To the best of my knowledge, step counts and heart rate tracks are uploading just fine. They're just not getting merged with GPS tracks.
My current work is to see if I can't narrow down exactly how long a GPS track can get before it fails to sync with the information coming from my Charge HR.
Thanks!
David
