Yes, it has been happening all morning for me as well. It is so frustrating, and I really do not want to move to Apple, but if this will continue to problematic, then, I just may need to move an switch. UGH.
My app just opened up and synced all data. Hopefully stays connected. Good luck to everyone! Cher-

@Redcoat There's currently some issue on Fitbit's side, see picture of forum banner below. I suggest waiting until Fitbit resolves the issue and removes the banner before spending any more time on troubleshooting procedures.

Good morning. I experienced the same thing. I am no expert but mine is now working. See if these steps might work for you. 1. Go to settings. General. Iphone Storage. Wait till all the information for Iphone Storage to fill in. Scroll down to Fitbit. Select Offload App. Then Delete app. 2. Turn phone off then back on. 3. Re-install Fitbit app. 4. (This next step was the last step I tried and I believe it made the difference.) Turn off your WiFi. and just use your Data plan. 5. Make sure your Fitbit (in settings) is set up to use your Data plan. 6. Then open your Fitbit app. 7. If it is working, Mine did. Sign back in. follow regular prompts. 8. Close app. Get back on your wifi. 9. Sign back into fitbit app. I hope this helps.

I got a hold of helpdesk, and they are aware of the problem but could not give a day or time estimate on when it will be fixed, which I totally understand that.

Just wanted to let you know I got a hold of the helpdesk, and they said they are aware of the problem, but do not know or cannot give an estimate time of when it will be repaired. So at least they are aware of this.🙂

What’s worked for me on iOS is to long press and hold on the app and then press on something like “Track Exercise”. This let’s me get into the app successfully

My Fitbit app which had been working fine, now opens when the icon is tapped but closes by itself within half a second later. I have deleted the app and reinstalled it. I have done this with Bluetooth on and off and have shut down and restarted my phone. I am tempted to conclude that it's a bug in the latest version of the app (which is only 1week old). Convince me I'm wrong please Fitbit.

I find the Fitbit itself very reliable. Just have occasional issues with the app. I've been using Fitbits (I had a charge 3, then a charge 4, and now a charge 5) since 2017 and have only had this happen once before. Mine seems ok now.
