Thank you so much for this response as it has proven to my friends I have been correct all along.... I too am really angry as I have wasted so much time trying to get it to connect. Thank you so much for taking the time to respond... much appreciated ....i fave now downloaded and reconnected the app to an old iPhone I had with software iOS 12 and its working perfectly once I’m in a wife for area... maybe you have an old phone you could use in the interim?
Thank you again

Exactly the same problem, but mine’s a Charge 2. As you said, a completely useless bit of kit at the moment!
Congratulations on getting any sort of admission of ‘guilt’ from Fitbit! I guess we’ll all have to wait for their update - sooner rather than later one would hope.

Mine is a charge 2 also... looks like there are a number of people with problems ... yet others with same software having no problems ... like you say, admission to the problem helps

I’m now wondering if it’s Fitbit or apple problem, as all my devices from my phone have been disconnected ... however I was able to reconnect my AirPods and car system but not able to reconnect Fitbit.... hence I guess it’s a Fitbit problem which I hope they sort out immediately or I and I’m sure many more will be changing from Fitbit To another such compatible system. Thank you for your response

A previous poster reported that after speaking to Fitbit customer support it is accepted by Fitbit that it is a problem with the Fitbit app.

Fitbit now need to get the problem sorted as there appears to be lots of users who are suffering the same problems as ourselves.

I presume they will update us in some way ....

Fitbit told me that I would need to keep checking the AppStore to see when a new release of the Fitbit app becomes available....The current (defective) release is v 3.20.1 so I guess to overcome the problem we need to upload whichever version supersedes that one!

Don't hold your breath!

I deleted the app and Fitbit reconnected for a while but then went off again! Done this sever times now and really fed up!

It’s not recognising exercise, not tracking hourly reminders to move or allowing messages to come through. All since this last update....grrrrr

Ditto....truly fed up!

Cause and effect problem:

Cause: Apple updated ios.

Effect: Charge 3 no longer syncs up.

Guess who has to fix it.😉

Will Fitbit please give us an estimated release date for the fix?

if I cd have a redo, I would only update one device each time there’s an Apple update until I have time to check for any negative impact.  That way your other device can still synch your data. Too late for me, but I recommend that for anyone who hasn’t yet downloaded the latest version to just do one device. I  intend to do that in the future.
The whole thing seems unfair to App developers who have to work overtime every time Apple decides to do an update. Oh well, hope there’s an update soon, because I don’t want to lose all my stats.

I’ve shared this with everyone I know on Fitbit too...too late for me though.
I am gutted as I did a record hike on Monday and it’s not loaded.... no data since Sunday evening when I updated.... really peed off and as I’m furloughed I’ve been doing loads of exercise to keep me focused

I understand perfectly well....it’s dreadful when this happens and you
don’t know where you stand with stats etc....god only knows when the new
compatible app will appear from Fitbit.

Hi Shane, does that mean that you will lose all data and history tracking?
