Issues with Custom food logging (Calories revert to 0)

ANSWERED
Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

We've aware of an issue when entering a custom food, total calories are dictated by whatever the number is for "Calories from fat". If you have 0 calories from fat, you will see 0 Calories.

We’re currently working to resolve it and hope to have a fix soon. Be sure to keep your Fitbit device and app up-to-date to ensure you receive the quickest resolution. We're sorry for any trouble. We appreciate your patience and look forward to getting you back on track.

I stopped using it because it was too frustrating, but I’m happy it’s fixed. How can I delete my post now ? I keep getting email about this ...

Hi. I did download the latest update. I can custom foods with calories,*
but I cannot put total grams with total calories if more than 500.*
*This is still not helpful.*

I used to be able to put say 3,000 total grams with say 2,000 calories, put
in I ate 350 grams and the fitbit app would calculate the calories or
portion I ate in grams.
It does not do this anymore!!!

Hi, which latest update you downloaded? I still get 0 calories in every food I logged. Using Inspire HR.

When will this be fixed. I have just joined with my sister -a personal trainer. For 16 weeks.  It is vital I log all my foods. And although I have previous custom foods logged. It is impossible to log now. As it of course reverts everything to zero.   I am not rushing out and purchasing an new device !:).  From what I can tell this issue has been ongoing for anoint a month.  There should be a resolution ASAP. I am also wishing to try the Fitbit premium.  As there is a special 3 month promotion  before the one year commitment.  - However signing up when the features are not working ....  can you please get this feature working very soon.  I do rely on the support of my Fitbit and the tools that are associated with it.    Thank you so very much for your attention

They seem to have fixed the Custom Food logging - at least a bit. Still shows a fairly bewildering mixture of kJ (units I requested) vs Calories (not used so much in Australia) - eg kJ on phone app listings but graphs in Cal (I presume - not kJ, anyway), & still only Cal shown on watch. It does seem to track steps/distance walked pretty well though

I haven’t noticed this problem when entering a custom food. However, when logging my food I often check a Previously Eaten With item. All of those now show as zero. So, I have to enter each food individually. Hoping to see a solution soon, because it is annoying😊

I am having a similar problem, but it's with the log and add more link under FOOD.  When the frequently used foods come up, they have a zero calorie count and I have to add each thing individually.

It’s the end of August, any progress on this issue?  I mean why key the data to a metric that is not usually provided in most information labels?  That said, at least an explanation for the glitch has been offered, which is useful.  Thanks...

BTW, the calories also reset to zero for prelogged foods in the Fitbit drop down.

I have also noticed that if i change the serving that defaulted (go from one to zero and back again) the data appears but it is a pain in the tookus.... but it is a workaround.

Any update on the subject? I have had my Fitbit since February and I still can't log in food as most of what I eat is custom
