Fitbit Update 5/5

I have great news!  We have pushed out a fix in the latest version (2.22.1) that resolves this problem. Click here to be redirected to the iOS App Store. Thanks for bringing this issue to our attention.

Fitbit Update 5/1
It was recently pointed out that some iOS users are missing their sync progress bar and battery indicator on their dashboard after updating to Fitbit iOS App version 2.22. In order to investigate this issue, can you please provide the following information:

  1. What type of iOS device are you using?
  2. What iOS version is it running (ie iOS 9.3, iOS 8, etc)?
  3. Does the problem persist after logging out of the App and then back in?

Thanks in advance for your help!

My battery level tile was missing so I logged out of my phone app and logged back in and it was back!  Thank you for the suggestion!

This keeps happening to mine too. Then suddenly it will reappear. Then later it will disappear. Not sure why or how to get the hr tab back at the top of the screen

I'm running an iPhone 6 with 9.3 and my charge/sync/battery has disappeared.

Experiencing same problem. Details per derrickfitbit are using iPhone 5s, iOS 9.3.1, and while I haven't tried shutting the whole phone down to fix it, just double clicking the button and swiping up on the Fitbit window to close it (and closing everything else just on general principle) is sufficient and it will work fine when I run Fitbit again. However, a few hours later, the problem will recur. Problem has been happening since Thursday evening.

Mine is gone too, and i hate it!  Thought it was from the last app update, because mine isn't intermittent - I have to click to Account screen and it shows the Charge HR title, battery level and whether or not it's syncing under my name and profile pic.  I liked it MUCH better at the top of my dashboard when I open the app - gives me a quick glance at battery life and whether or not my bluetooth is on, last sync, etc.

Why move it?  My daughter's dashboard for her One still has the old layout - is this just for newer models, or the Charge HR?  Is it a glitch?

Whatever it is, I sure would like to have it back the way it was!

Using an iPhone 6s Plus, and everything is up to date.

Yes I agree, very very annoying and completely defeats the object of the app. Mine seems to have happened since the app update. Its far too clunky going from one screen to another, and even by doing so it doesn’t show you your actual HR - which is really what the whole Charge HR is all about! Needs sorting ASAP.

From what a gather (no moderator has helped on this issue) if you own an iPhone or a iPad you will be missing your charger and your real time heart rate. Some say you need to restart your device because Fitbit no longer synchs real time...but this is only a temp fix. After an hour it breaks again.

I've owned this Fitbit for two weeks now and I am not impressed at all (I have other issues too like I'm missing floors climbed, inaccurate steps, Fitbit says I burn an additional 4K calories on top of my resting calories, and it only tracks a third of my exercises)

@Busboss welcome aboard! Are you talking about this banner right here?

you haven't synced lately.png

Do let me know!

A warm welcome to our new friend @elmsley! Hey, have you tried these steps to have your tracker syncing to your iPad once again?

  1. Turn off Bluetooth, turn it back on, and then open the Fitbit app.
  2. If your tracker didn't sync, force quit the Fitbit app and open it again.
  3. Reboot your mobile device and then open the Fitbit app again.
  4. Restart your tracker:
    • Plug your charging cable into the USB port and insert the other end into the port on the back of your Fitbit Charge HR. Your Charge HR will begin charging.
    • Press and hold the button for 10 to 12 seconds until you see the Fitbit icon and a version number (e.g. "V122").
    • Let go of the button.
    • Unplug your tracker from the charging cable.
  5. If your tracker didn't sync, try syncing with your computer.

Let me know if this helped, I'll be around! Cat Very Happy

Another thread said rebooting your phone would restore the dashboard. It has worked for me for the moment. A few said they had to do it a few times during the day. Since I just did it the first time, I can't speak to that. I can only tell you that my dashboard is back to normal. My HR is also showing.

Agreed. I reboot and it comes back then it's gone again the next time I go into the app. Hopefully this bug is fixed in the next update!

My display fixed itself once, with no action on my part, then broke itself again.  Hopefully a real fix will be out soon!  -Jenn

I have iphone5 and have software 9.3.1 and my Fitbit is sometimes showing the sync and charge battery and others times it's completely gone.
I have turned it off and back on only to have it happen again later in the day.
All of my software is up to date.
I have a Fitbit charge without the HR

Again, I have turned the app off and restarted everything only I have it go away a few hours later and I have to restart it again.

Besides the sync status and other issues already identified, when I upgraded to the newest iOS app 2.22, the real time heart rate is also missing from the dash board.

Mine seems to have corrected itself - I haven't rebooted my phone, but earlier when I checked it, the dashboard was back to normal.  Hope it stays that way!  🙂
