Redesigned Sleep experience now in the iOS app

Why are the sleep scores and data displayed differently? I assume it’s the new ios update, but I preferred the former presentation.

I had the old format with the colors until this morning.  It was sooooo much easier to read!

I hope Google is listening to all this feedback.  Keeping my fingers crossed.

My android telephone had the old format for a while, but now it has the same format as the apple app. Horrible. I bought my first fitbit in 2016, never thought about another tracker as each change was an improvement. Not anymore. Thank you google 😞

The Fitbit app is so user unfriendly now, no marks on the time axis anymore, silly colors, hard to understand, even for me with a PhD. It looks to be designed for toddlers and primary goal seems to be to push users to a different smart watch manufacturer. Well, you almost convinced me

I have a PhD in science, but I don't understand anything of it. It is designed for just a few people with aberrant taste in colors and no understanding of graphics. Not for us, the millions of average people that spend money on this ugly app. Fitbit-Google : chase away your fans, just like Elon Musk is doing

Why does everything have to change. Stop messing with things. I haven’t seen one change that was helpful to me. Today It said I went to sleep at 1:35 am. I was asleep by 11:15 pm. Now that doesn’t work right either.

TOTALLY DISASTROUS!  Once again I can’t categorize my workouts again!  After the updates a few months ago, I was unable to categorize my workouts via the mobile Fitbit app, and was only able to do it on the Fitbit website. Now with the migration to Google, I can’t categorize my workouts on the mobile app or the website! This is really getting old Fitbit powers that be!

Yep!  Goodbye FitBit.

i started with the first Fitbit, but Google has ruined it for me. I have hung in there because I always said the Fitbit Dashboard is so much better than Apples. But that is no longer true. This Sleep data is the final straw.

Today I noticed the new layout is also wrong. I opened the app after waking up and it showed 11 hours of sleep, which is correct. I went onto another app and then went back on, it dropped down to 5 hours because that was when I went to the toilet. So you make it ugly AND not work. Please roll back

Statistically-how many need the new layout compared to how many benefited from the old layout. As so many have pointed out why isn’t this an “optional setting” for the segment that have the need. Remove functionality for the many when easy to add a setting. The code would be based in the powerful phone and server. The watch would likely remain the same.

I used to highly recommend Fitbit, I would not do so now (since takeover by google). The page was so much better than Apple’s. I am in search for a different brand.  I find google development to be lacking. This change in sleep stats is such a “duh” in functionality with blame on marketing, development and quality.

Best Answer

Absolutely! This new format doesn’t meet my needs at all. Don’t like the=sudden change without any warning.

Best Answer

Agreed. If the Google higher-ups ARE doing this to get people to move to their watches instead... do they think it'll work? If anything it just shattered what little bit of trust I HAD in Google, and I know I'm not the only one to feel that way. They're hurting Fitbit AND themselves.

The real problem with all this is that Google/fitbit will never look at
these comments. I would be surprised indeed.

I totally agree. There has to be a way to mesh screen settings with the old view. This seems to be the easiest solution and not the best solution. Do better. Sleep features were the only things keeping me with Fitbit.

Same issue here!  Sigh.

It's not just the unappetizing new interface. The app is now much less effective at linking a multi-phase sleep into a single sleep experience. Before, I got a report that reflected two or more sleeps in the same 8 hour period; now, all but the longest phase is ignored, which is basically false data.

Best Answer

Wondering if there was any Beta test with actual users.  Cannot figure the rationale.  I am having to work harder to get less information, less useful information and less accurate information.

Best Answer

The new interface is beyond awful, plus it loses sleep data. Hate!
