Same issue !
I solved it by going to your phone settings, go down to fitbit, and turning on Bluetooth from there. Hope that helps!

This is what I did:
1. Click Settings on your iPhone
2. Select Notifications (I have the “Show Previews when unlocked option selected at the top of the screen)
3. Scroll down and select Messages
4. Select Show Previews and (temporarily) choose “Always” then exit out.
5. Send yourself or have someone send you a test text message. If your Fitbit then shows the text notification, go back into Show Previews and change it back to “When Unlocked Default”
6. Have another test text message sent.

Had the same issue with the Bluetooth message and other solutions suggested here didn’t work for me either. Bluetooth was already enabled on my phone. What finally worked was I opened up the Fitbit app under Settings. You get an option to turn Bluetooth on for the specific Fitbit app. That worked! Synced immediately! Hope this helps! Good luck all!

I believe I’ve tried it all and nothing seems to work. Hope you get it resolved on your end or give more options. Almost regretting the update. I can close the app, but how to you shut down the Fitbit itself? Or can you? Need more information! Thanks~Nicki

Got it working through the “settings icon on the iPhone. I then scrolled down to Fitbit. Open that and see if it’s Bluetooth is on. That was the only way it worked. It may say it’s connected, through just looking at the Bluetooth setting in settings, but you have to actually scroll down to the Fitbit box, open it, and do it manually that way. Hope this works. All that other advice didn’t work at all.

Tried 5 step program (multiple times) with old Flex model after having worked with online help desk for an hour but Flex will not connect. iPhone Bluetooth search does not see Flex. As with other reports, all was well before iOS 13.1.2

Just got an iPhone 11 and running ios13. After deleting the Fitbit app and reinstalling it, it updates the firmware in my Versa. My phone connects Bluetooth to the Versa and syncs just fine. I have received alerts when someone is calling, but NONE for texts and reminders. How weird is that?
