Hi, I just noticed that the green and yellow lines have changed and now are all over the place on the graph. All graphs for different days start with a 0:00 hrs. The fluctuations are not at all in line with what I was reading up until today. Anyone experienced this issue?? Thanks

I was SO worried. Especially as oxygen intake was being used to measure Covid 19 severity in some cases right?
Thanks for the pictures. Saves me uploading mine. So is there NOTHING we can do except to Stay Calm, Carry on Sleeping and wait for them to twiddle their software?

This is happening to me, too, with a charge 4! I didn't check the app for a few days, and then I absolutely panicked when I saw the *huge yellow spikes* throughout every night. I have chronic lung disease and was about to send a very alarmed note to my pulmonologist, so thank goodness I checked here first. Please, someone, fix this soon! (Now I wonder whether even the average sleeping 02 can be trusted -- as someone with less than great 02 saturation, I really need these metrics not to malfunction.

Im new to fitbit and been using charge 5 for around 2 weeks. cant believe this tracker actually cost me a lot more. I replaced all my pillows, bought room humidifier, sent all curtains to a laundry and called professional cleaner for my bed and sofa because of the oxygen variation graph. I'm so glad and relieved to find this forum, I'm canceling my doctor's appointment. It's very disappointing as charge 5 is branded as the best health and fitness tracker but it gives me stress and disturbs my mental health instead

It is an issue affecting "Android" users after the update. Have the same issue, but looking at the spo2 graph on my old iPhone, it actually looks normal. I hope it gets resolved quickly as it is extremely annoying...
Cheers

Is there any update you can offer since your July 22 post? The spo2 graphs are still out to lunch. We need an answer.

Holy...me too! I hadnt been wearing mine for a while, wore it last night, checked things this morning and became so alarmed!
It isnt just that it is important. It is also scary when you are dealing with inaccurate numbers related to health!!!!
Any updates?

So glad to find this thread!
My oxygen variations chart scared the pee out of me this morning. Especially since I got an 89 sleep score (very rare for me -- night before was a 67). 😱
P.S. I don't like the other changes in chart formats either. They were absolutely fine and didn't need "improving."

So sorry you had to go through this - I have been a Fitbit user since 2015 and have loved them - there have been glitchs with updates but in the past when you called you talked to a real person that knew what was going on and let you know they were working on a fix. And then you got updates. I don't know why the service has changed. when Google bought them? When I first saw my EOV graph out of wack I panicked but then, from past experience, checked the forum - keep checking - hopefully it will get fixed very soon as people rely on the stats to be correct

Not my experience, even before the Google acquisition. Phone or chat support never know what is going on. I got the devices based on the advertisement that they provided SpO2 readings so that I could follow same. Only to find out that they really don't. Who knows what the charts mean or if the multi-hour average has any meaning at all. The only way to check the accuracy of any fitbit reading is to compare a real time reading to same from a medical class device at the same time. I can buy a Chinese knock off that reports too but the values have no connection with what my body is doing.
Taking the leap of faith that the fitbit devices ACTUALLY measure hemoglobin saturation through color shift, there is still nothing provided through the devices to gain the value advertised. From my start with the devices, I have posted a request for real SpO2 values on demand. I have received numerous votes in agreement but there has been no movement forward on the Charge series in over 2 years. In fact, now, we are experiencing a backward movement.
I was responding that roll back is not an option. I had a pebble that I could roll back to but it failed and I had to have it replaced, again. The replacement had zero for oxygen readings. The ONLY option was to update again (my existing Android version worked in fitbit's limited fashion on the previous pebble) to trigger an update to the pebble. I was offered no alternative to get access to O2 readings. I already have had to replace my phone to work with the app. Enough is enough. The purchase of these devices is to obtain a service. Not for us to be slaves to programmers that can't get their act together. For less money, I will be able to buy new devices that actually meet the FDA standards for measurement of BP, HR, SpO2 and ECG. They are not as convenient, but the ACUTALLY PROVIDE REAL WORLD RESULTS.

I think you should get this out as soon as possible before people using CPAPs run off to their doctor's for an unnecessary and expensive sleep study.

Another fitbit debacle. I don't see anywhere that the devices require higher level Android OS. I had a charge for working on a Galaxy S5 and out of the blue, it quit working because Fitbit FORCED an update and the OS version was no longer supported. I was forced to switch to another device. Dramatically reducing the convenience of a wearable device. Next it REQUIRES some GPS which to me, is simply a security hole as my phone now reports everywhere I go and hackers, Google and who knows who else has access to that information. I have not learned the final conclusion of different apps running in the background and reporting GPS information back to the vendor. Promises not to invade individual privacy are false and quickly swept under the carpet.

Fitbit needs to understand this is NOT an inconvenience. This is about a product sold to do a select few things. A significant number of people have purchased the devices because you advertise the ability to take oxygen levels. Besides you NOT allowing access to data to valid the capacity to measure SpO2, now you are making the devices Non-Functional for that population of your client base.
If you can't fix it, roll it back until you can get it fixed. Send an email to all your clients offering something for your mess up and a link to a fix or roll back in 24 hours or less. What is the delay!

I'm checking out the whoop tracker. Looks to have many of the similar features and then some. Of course, I'd rather keep my fitbit and have useful information that is explained to us. I'm just in awe that they don't understand the implications of suddenly making every one of their users think they have sleep apnea issues with absolutely no explanation.

It was marked as Best Answer to show FitBit was aware of this mess. This was an interesting read. https://www.techradar.com/opinion/fitbit-what-in-the-world-are-you-doing-right-now
