Fitbit Labs prompt will not GO AWAY

In the same space as the cardio target for the day, there is now a box that says:

Fitbit Labs

Ready to upload your first lab report?

Get a simple summary of your lab report. If you're not not ready, please share why in the survey.

Get started

If I tap on "Get started", I am taken to a screen where I can scroll down and choose "No thanks" or "Agree & Continue".  If I choose "No thanks", I never get a survey, it just closes, and the notification box never ever goes away.

It has been like this for a couple of days now. I don't want to participate in Fitbit Labs. I have turned off Fitbit Labs in my setting. Why is this box not going away??? I am tired of scrolling past it.

@FitCharlotte , Thank you for your feedback and confirmation that the issue still persists.
I'll let our team know, so that they keep looking into this.

@JFlo47 , Thank you for your message,.

In the Fitbit app tap on the gear icon > help and scroll down. There you'll see the app version you have installed.

Go a step back (gear icon> push notifications ) . Scroll down. There you'll find the Labs Tab.

Thanks. My app version is 4.43. I think I read that 4.44 was just released
yesterday and that we should update to that before trying to solve the other
problem. Now I can't find how to get it to update. Hopefully you can help me
with that, too.

I personally would like to continue with Fitbit.   I have come to like google.   However, I do NOT like the marketing materials that are being pushed at me and interfere with my enjoyment of google products, programs, and services.

There is no solution. Allegedly, there's an update, but I have the most
recent version, and the lab thing is still there. It's maddening and
annoying.

I don't think I have the most recent version, but I can't figure out how to
update. I replied to the person who told me where to find what version I
had, and he hasn't replied back. So, I am stuck with that on my screen, but
you said that didn't help anyway. Also stuck with an unusable swim app. I
wish I still had my Charge 4.

I have the same problem--just saw the pop-up for the first time this morning and I am unable to delete it. If we aren't given the option to delete this, it will be the end of the line for me with Fitbit--I'm tired of having these pop-ups forced on us with no way to remove them. Ever since Google took over Fitbit, the user's options have been continually eroded.

I agree! I am going to switch to a different fitness tracker if these
annoying and unsolicited pop-ups do not go away.

I have the new version but the Labs pop-up is still there

Chatted with support and got the canned response of "we're aware of the problem and are working on a resolution".  Canned responses of "we're aware and are working on a resolution" are not believable. There are multiple posts about this issue going on for months all over. If it is taking months to fix the fact that a message won't go away after answering then maybe Google needs to hire new developers. Instead, my impression is that they are NOT working on it and would rather force people to participate just to get the message to go away.

They say they are working on it, whatever that means.

Wow.  You guys added a take survey button.  Whoopie.  It still doesn't go away, same **ahem** issue.  Are you guys trying to piss us off?
