Well. Well. Success! After several failed reinstalls of 3.37.1, phone reboots, and failed connections from the app I am working again. My Versa 3 ultimately became hosed to the point that there was no clock face and nothing showed under Settings. Even an attempt to connect from my iPad brought no joy. By restarting the Versa 3 holding my thumb and forefinger on both sides of the watch, the thing restarted. After that, the app successfully connected and things appear to be back to normal.

Whew! I don't want to go through that again. I suppose the after-event meetings at Fitbit over this epic fail are gonna be TENSE!

I updated on Google play, and I am receiving the message that my versa 2 is not ready to be paired. I  then logged out of the app and shut down my watch with no luck.  Please advise.

Thanks for the quick solution. I think everybody learnd from this. I definitly did, since after a day I exchanged my watch in the shop to a new one, because I thought it was a hardware problem. And the fitbit crew also should learn, that you have to communicate more effective, if you detect a problem.

I'm happy to have my Charge 4 back on my arm. 🙂

Have a nice day!

Updated the app on my Android phone and went through the setup process since I had done a factory reset on my Charge 4 trying to resolve the issue according to Fitbit's support page (before I saw this community post). Sync'ing is working now but I still can't get it working with my laptop. Not going to worry about that since it's now working again with my phone. I would like for Fitbit/Google to compensate me for the 2 hours of my life I'll never get back trying to get the "darn" thing working yesterday!

If you've already tried this I'm sorry but uninstall fitbit app then reinstall. That's what I had to do.

I have a Versa 3, too. And the update didn't work for me so I Uninstalled the app but now it won't let me install it again. It keeps stopping between 50-60%. Either way, the update didn't work for Versa 3 apparently, which is one of the more expensive watches and a real bummer.

Uninstall Fitbit app , reinstall it and then restart your phone Before trying to sync your Fitbit. I hope this helps. This is what I had to do.
