ISSUE: Can't sync or pair Blaze with an iOS device
BLAZE FIRMWARE VERSIONS AFFECTED: (8.301.7) & (8.200.3)
iOS VERSIONS AFFECTED: 10.2.x
*** FIXED IN BLAZE FIRMWARE VERSION (8.301.8) ***
Still having trouble? Can't update or sync?
Read the difference between unbonding and unpairing first:
Unbonding - going into the bluetooth settings of your iPhone or iPad, selecting the Blaze, then choosing "Forget This Device".
Unpairing - going into the Fitbit app, selecting the Blaze, then choosing "Remove This Blaze".
*** DO NOT DO THIS TO TROUBLESHOOT THIS SPECIFIC ISSUE ***
Now that you've read that, try unbonding BEFORE trying to update your Blaze firmware (see screenshots below):
Okay, I've unbonded. Now what?
Try syncing your Blaze, then try to update the firmware.
Still can't sync or update? Here are some suggestions:
Updated on 1/20/17 for clarity.

Likewise- my app wont sync though I can controll my music from my braze watch.
Restarted phone, did not fix.
EDIT: did what the moderator recommended and it resolved my issue.

Like many of Blaze users reported, I experienced a similar Sync issue between my iPhone (updated to latest iOS.10.2.1 version a few hours ago) and Blaze. Tried all sorts of Fitbit recommendations including "Reset tracker", "Restart tracker", "turn on/off iPhone Bluetooth", "Restart iPhone" etc., etc.,
Nothing worked except one -
Deleted the Fitbit app from my iPhone after removing my Blaze device from the app. Then Re-installed the Fitbit app from App Store and now everything is back to normal 🙂
Also, I didn't lose any of my older stats. If you are in search of a quick fix, you can try deleting the Fitbit app and reinstall it (but make sure you removed the paired device also before you delete the Fitbit app)
Let me know if it works.

Not sure if you are trying to connect your blaze to Fitbit connect via USB and your laptop.
But the Fitbit mobile app is showing a download update notification on the top right of the Fitbit Mobile app home screen.

My issue was that i removed the device to re-install thinking this would fix the problem but it wouldnt pair.. I just followed the latest instructions and SUCCESS! Paired and up-dated. 🙂

I followed moderator instructions to forget the blaze under Bluetooth and restart device. Open app back up and was able to connect device, update and sync!!

Called tech support, patiently was walked thru the process (I thought I was following instructions here) and it's all about timing (as in take your time). Up and running again. The iPad iOS update definitely caused a problem.

can you check how your Fitbit is connected with your mobile device? Is it via Bluetooth(Classic) or Bluetooth?
Also, In your mobile app, go to Account -> Blaze -> Notifications. If your Fitbit is paired to your mobile device via Bluetooth(Classic), you'll see a prompt on your mobile screen asking you to pair your Fitbit with your mobile device, then hit 'pair'. This should change the Bluetooth(Classic) to Bluetooth.
Then your Blaze will show all the notifications on its screen.
If this doesn't work, you might need to reset(shutdown and restart) your blaze then pair the device again with your mobile app.

I haven't been able to fix this problem with the iphone 10.2, my fitbit app tells me to update then sync, and it just does this over and over. Also my battery now drains in 8hours. Not sure what to do.

Great!
Only thing I might add is...I had to shutdown and restart both Blaze and iPhone for the update to continue loading. After that all great!

Okay folks, this is super odd but I haven't touched my tracker since first posting this, busy with Christmas things, but this morning when I woke up the tracker was FINALLY accepting the update. Good as new. Thanks Fitbit?
