Can we mark this as unsolved please, or create a separate thread?  This is a bigger problem and will require your hardware and software developers to get involved.  My Flex 2 went from just being frustrating to sync with my LG K20 to suddenly not being found at all today.  I have unpaired it with my phone, restarted my Bluetooth multiple times and it still cannot be found.  It's constantly "Looking" and going back through the initial setup is not working either.  I need to understand the order in which it checks things.  Does it only do Bluetooth or is it looking to make a Wi-Fi connection as well?  Is there a way to hard-reboot the Flex 2?  Or is the Flex 2 just doomed to be a mid-tier product too unprofitable to support properly?  I've sequestered this from all other possible Bluetooth signal generators.  The fact that I have to post this at all is a very severe negative commentary on the overall quality of the product.

The solve notice relates to the original posters question. If it is solved for them then it is solved.

Your phone is unfortunately not on the Supported Devices List whichnis probably why you are having problems. The flex 2 does not make wifi connection - only bluetooth. There is no Factory reset for the flex 2 if thatis what you mean by hard reboot, but you can restart it. Id suggest doing it several times if you havent already done that.

I've restarted it, I've done everything I know how and am so disappointed
that it no longer works. Why are you saying my phone is not compatible? It
worked with it for over 6months, then after the last update it doesn't
work? Please explain why/how that happens.

Thanks

@JaneLank I was actually replying to yhe post directly above mine by @ShouldNotHaveTo. I dont know if your phone is Supported or not as I dont know what phone you are using. If a phone isnt on the Supported Devices List  that doesnt mean it wont work but it does mean it is not fully tested, or else it is tested and found not to work. BUT  it also means that when something changes (like an update to phone or tracker) it may stop working and because it is not on the supported list no one is working towards getting it going again. So let me know what phone you are using and we can go from there.

@NellyG - I can and may start a new thread, as this is still an unsolved issue.  Your theory of the case is interesting, concerning my LG K20 not being on your Supported Devices List, except for the fact that my Windows PC *also* cannot detect my Flex 2.  It's fully charged.  It's right next to the devices involved.  I've moved the Bluetooth signals away from each other when trying to find the Flex 2.  Nothing.  I now wish I hadn't unpaired the Flex 2 as then I could've provided the Firmware version that was on it.  The lights work on it and it responds to being tapped.  I'm just hoping that when it fully loses power, that somehow restarts whatever code internal to the device that tells its Bluetooth module to advertise.  This device was only in service and syncing properly for 2 weeks.  That's very a very unimpressive track record - 2 weeks.

May have to finally say goodbye to Fitbit.  It's been a good run, but after having two Surges fail, and now this with the Flex 2 - the social aspect is really the only aspect that Fitbit has done well.  Ironically because their devices are supposed to be so technologically accessible.  Hard to compete with my Fitbit friends when my tracker becomes un-findable midway through a challenge.

Hi everyone! Sorry to hear about your syncing issues with your Flex 2.  Some phones mentioned don't show as compatible as @NellyG has mentioned but that doesn't mean that these phones won't work. You can try going to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there. Restart your phone and restart your device. After this try syncing them. Also, if you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.

If you are using a computer you will need a Windows 10 or Mac OS with integrated bluetooth and install the Fitbit software.

Let me know how it goes!

Hi i have tried the "solved" solution above but now i cannot set up my device again! How is that a solution? I have unpaired and repair-ed, i have switched my surge on an off three times. Nothing. Fitbit has been more of a hastle than anything else. Waste of time and money.

@AsmaM  You have posted in the Flex 2 Forum.  You would be best to post your question in the Surge forum as that is your tracker.  The thread is marked as solved as it is solved for the original poster.

I have also been getting the message that my tracker can't be found. I've tried resetting it and just tried deleting my device and adding it again to the fitbit app and now I can't get past the screen about the charger and the tracker. Keeps saying to charge my fitbit, turn Bluetooth off then on again and try again. If restarted my phone as well and I am still unable to connect my device

This was the problem for me too, I did following

1 went to fitbit app,

2 logged out and logged back in,

3 removed fitbit blaze,

4 used left and right bottom button to restart tracker

5 put the tracker on charger

6 off/on the Bluetooth

7 installed the tracker again and WHOA it worked for me.. 😊👏

I'm doing the same process sgwalker and it works but now I'm having to do it at least a few times a week. Doesn't seem right that we spent good money on these and have to go through such lengths to get them to work correctly.

Tried this today! Yeah doesn’t work at all. Now it’s disabled and still won’t recognize my charge 2. I’ve tried everything you guys put out there. Not working. Only a year old, this should not be happening. Not the first time either.

I've had this same problem many times before. Usually after restarting my phone and or a multiple of Uninstalling and reinstalling the app, deleting it from Bluetooth and pairing it again. Longest I went was 3 days before it recognized my tracker again.

I got mine to re-sync using my computer (Windows 10) and going through the windows app store and downloading the fitbit app.  As soon as it was finished loading on my computer the app asked for the 4 digit code that was being displayed on my charge 2 (that was connected to the computer)
