Hello Ionic family!
We’re excited to announce the release of Fitbit OS 4.1.2.

We roll out releases in phases as a cautionary measure so that we can monitor performance closely and make adjustments if needed.

Sorry to hear that. I have had one which gave up on me after 6 months and got a replacement since I was covered under warranty. Replacment gave up after 11 months. Totally 2 watches in span of 2 years and now 25% discount offer to buy a new fitbit from support.
If I were you and still in 90 days refund period, I would and save my money and invest in better brand.

Hopefully you are covered under 1 year warranty still. Else you will be forced to settle in for 25% discount for another Fitbit 🙂

<<I disconnected the watch from the charging port and pressed the left and the right bottom button for ~10seconds. After doing so the screen turned on showing the fitbit icon. At this moment I connected the watch with the charger and the watch booted normally>>
And then it synced normally.
it worked for me Today 4/25 3PM est

As I posted earlier, users who bought their devices using a major credit card should be exploring their options to be recompensated through the extra years warranty coverage that gets you. I posted detailed instructions previously, assuming the mod-bots have not deleted that post as "not productive"....
As long as users continue to buy into the need to replace with a Fitbit branded device and take the 25% discount Fitbit will not be motivated to up their game.
I decided after the experience of last time that I will never throw more money at them. When my Ionic dies I will be starting my step count from scratch elsewere, and all my running data is already on Strava, although you would never know it from my Ionic as thats a bug that has also not been permanently resolved two years on.

Hi. My Fitbit ionic is losing battery rapidly since the update. It lost power yesterday and I had to do a reboot to get it to charge. Since yesterday it's was at 100pc and now today at 68pc with a day of normal usage.

**ahem**, was hoping this update would fix my GPS.. My GPS stopped working around January, and no matter what i try, it never locks on.

Update 24 hours later:
All seems fine. Getting hourly reminders for first time in months.
Text and app notifications are also working for first time in months.
I changed nothing in the Fitbit app, so these are firmware related. 👍
B U T: Last night for the first time since sleep scores were available; NO SCORE.
ALSO no EVO not recorded. This has been flawless since it appeared in January.
Maybe I had a bad night and this is coincidental.
I’ll report back tomorrow. Cheers. Murf

I tried to update my fitbit and it wouldn't update! Now it it just flashing the logo on my watch

It is advisable not to apply this update, it seems to me that there are already too many dead and damaged Ionic and fitbit does not answer anything about it

My iOnic lost touch screen function after the latest update. It showed clockface with stats. Alarm worked too.
Then, Fibteam sent me a mail asked me to try soft reset, shutdown or factory reset.
NOW, factory reset kills my iOnic.
I just had it this February.
My previous iOnic died because of the display fell off. Second one bought with a discout price.
Update: What really surprised me is the firmware update can cause a factory reset failed. It is supposed that a factory reset should be the way to save your device whenever something go wrong, isn't it?

Thanks Ian. This is much helpful. Otherwise, I will explore this options. Atleast I will get my money back.
