yeah
I just bought a garmin and waiting for it to arrive.
i can prove and honest can say i have two of the early fitbits BOTH types had to be replace over three times and my fitbit FRIST icon died on the third month....brand new. . then this one they replace just became unusable after the update. i have kept every single of those broken fitbits and i will keep them around as a .......reminder.
so im just at a point where i will Not buy anything fitbit ever again.

Mine stopped when the update reached about 90% and now it's dead. I only get the logo and I can't get it to restart.

my Ionic is 2 years and 19 days old, she's broken after yesterday's update. She does nothing more. Only the Fitbit logo appears on the screen.
Pressing the three keys does not help.
What now? I wish for a new watch or a way to get them to work for free

Fitbit Ionic went dead! Like so many others, tried everything that has been suggested and nothing. I had problems about 2 weeks ago, did a hard reset and thought everything was fine. The other day the screen went black and will not turn on. Had been sitting on the charger for days. I’ve had mine for about 1 1/2 years.
I also had gotten 2 Versas as gifts for people and they did the same thing! And both of those were well under a year old.
move invested in 3 Fitbits for them to only offer 25% on new ones?! Why, so we can go through the same issues down the road. VERY disappointed in Fitbit.

The official article simply says bug fixes and improvements. That is useless and gives us no incentive to update, especially when it is bricking devices. The page wasn't even updated to show this release number until two or three days after the update appeared in my app, which is why I hesitated at first not knowing what it contained.
Even out of warranty, there is no reason anyone should have to replace a device if it worked until the moment an official, compatible update was pushed to the device.
With this many issues, we need an official response as to whether or not it is safe to update our Ionics.

I still have the quick access menu thing that covers my notifications when I swipe down from the top of the screen. I want to add my voice that this should be an optional feature, because it's extremely difficult to use the notifications screen. I was hoping this would be fixed, given that it's not a new thing and there are so many posts here on the forums about it, but it hasn't been. I'm not asking for the feature to be removed completely, because I'm sure loads of people find it useful, but could we at least have the option to disable it? Thank you!

My fitbit is dead now. black screen. Any plans to bring it back to life or do I just throw it/"buy a new one"?

I can't restart it. It's stuck. Pressing the buttons does nothing.

I have the same issue as all of you, but I don't think its the firmware that's causing it, or at least I don't think so in my situation, let me explain. 2 days ago I noticed that my watch started losing time yet again (footnote: I just had it replaced for the exact same thing just a 34 days ago under warranty). When I looked at my watch it was 6 mins off, and in the 34 days it wasn't 1 second off and I use to sync it with my phone 1x week, so it KEPT time perfect when not synced. So when I noticed this I decided to sync it with the fitbit app, no biggie, that's when I noticed that there was a firmware update, so stupid me I did it thinking it would fix the issue, nope made it worse (What are the odds?) WiFi doesn't connect, Bluetooth doesn't connect.
So to pause the story, with me it seems the problem started before the firmware installed, which then I figured I would downgrade the firmware, so I tried to go back to 27.70.7.14 but I couldn't find the App version that would allow it as the FitBit apps are tied to the firmware.
So I did something else, I went back to firmware 27.33.1.30 and then tried to upgrade that way to get to 27.70.7.14, but after 6 hours I believe that firmware has been deleted/removed from being able to update to. So now I am testing using the new firmware 27.70.7.27 and using the app from march (V3.18) and I am testing to see how this works, preliminary tests right now seems to be back to syncing like before (Not that it didn't give me problems but time kept and it did eventually sync). Later today I am going to test and see if it will keep time and sync as before while being worn, as I had to default back to my Blaze which since 2016 has never once failed on me..

One thing to add since I couldn't edit my post. When the watch started losing 6 mins the app updated twice since. My last version that I knew worked was V3.18 the last two in April are 3.19.1 & 3.19.2.

After the update the battery on my Ionic doesn't last more than 12hrs. It was working perfectly before, no issues, now it's not.
Please advise, and reset the update. The watch is now unusable.

My battery is now dying within 24 hours after this update. It's regularly cleaned and had no issues until this update. Will there be a fix?

@DucceMicke It can’t be any worse than what just happened to my iconic so I’ll take my chances.
