Charge 2 - no exercise showing on app

My app has stopped recognising any activity. Last weekend everything was working fine then 2 days later my tracker is showing calories burnt after a class but on syncing to the app…no exercise registers.  I have done all the recommended stuff…opening/closing/deleting apps and tracker and still nothing.

Does anyone have any suggestions/ideas/advice please?

I had a gmail log in with separate password for over a decade. Since Google purchased - I am forced to log in with my Google account (no longer able to keep it separate.)  The app for me now is lacking on nearly every level.

Fitbit is not planning to fix this. We are being forced to upgrade to new trackers the same way Apple stopped updating older iphones. Our old trackers are now glorified timekeepers with step counter ang heart rate monitors.

Have you seen any other complaint about the issues with the latest versions of the Fitbit Charge? I'm just asking here.

The thing is ya know Google wouldn't pass up a chance to collect our data.
And as I see it the data goes up to them and then they are choosing not to
send the analytics back to our phone app.
I agree is a method of forced upgrade, but they aren't missing out on
getting our data...my opinion.

I noticed that my Fitbit app starting on November 15th would start adding in pause/resumes data points into my GPS route for my runs.  Maybe it was whatever version that got updated at that time.  Very weird about every 0.6 miles during my run, the data says my pace would drop over a minute and then it has a 'pause and resume' data point and a few seconds later all pace is normal until 0.6 miles later.  Of course I can't see this data through the Fitbit app which only shows basic details and they removed the Fitbit web portal that would have provided more details and analytics.  I see it when it's exported to Runkeeper and I can see the GPS route and data on their web portal.  All my Fitbit data prior to 11/15 did not have this 'pause/resume' data, but everything after it does. Very annoying since it's wrong.

I like having accurate data and don't like there's weird blips that shouldn't be there a few times during my runs.  If this doesn't get fixed, I'll stop using Fitbit for runs and it'll be just for heart metrics.

if theres one thing the the fitbit tracker (i have charge 2 and versa 1) does better than garmin (own one for 2 months now since fitbit app went crazy) is the fitbits sleep tracking feature. Its much much better and accurate compared to garmin. Definitely missing this somce the swap.

I can guarantee you they have your data. The same way that floors climbed disappeared from the app interface but the data is still uploaded. I know this is the case, because the badges for floors in a day keep getting updated even though the number of floors climbed only shows in the tracker. Not a chance they’d pass up a chance to collect metrics on their users. Zero. None. Bagel. Nada. Donut. Zilch.

That is good to know - BUT I find the Fitbit sleep tracking to be off
now, too.

I don't know, but they should've fixed it by now. It is almost four months since this error showed up. I have already told my mother that I am giving it until the end of the year for the errors to be fixed.

And the very same to you & All

Google really topped themselves with crashing FitBit - now my sleep is
not correct nor is heart rate for the most part.

Does anyone have a recommendation for replacement?

So far, none of the moderators have seen this or come up with a solution.

I believe the moderators are only on the community forums to keep things clean and positive, they have no power to push or request Fitbit to resolve any issues.

I don't know if they have any connections with those who would've solved the glitches.

Thank goodness I found this forum post! I thought everything was playing up. Glad it's not just me, and I hope they fix it soon.  👍

Pressing exercise on watch doesn't transfer and manual additions to the app disappear.
