My app has stopped recognising any activity. Last weekend everything was working fine then 2 days later my tracker is showing calories burnt after a class but on syncing to the app…no exercise registers. I have done all the recommended stuff…opening/closing/deleting apps and tracker and still nothing.
Does anyone have any suggestions/ideas/advice please?

i think theyre referring to manual tracking on the app which never was a problem. Syncing exercise activity from the tracker to the app is the root cause of the thread. Still NOT fixed. Charge 2 and my Versa, same issues, still not fixed.

I was able to manually track from the charge 2 device - "elliptical"
for this morning's cardio, then again I tracked my walk as "run" at lunch. It
sync'd both to the app, which is hasn't done for a long time, since early
September.
NOTE to FITBIT TECHS: I do notice that although the graph of the heart
rate shows the majority of my cardio in "vigorous" and "peak", the "Time in
Each Zone" just puts it all in "light", so its not quite tracking that
correctly yet, but at least the graph is there and appears correct or at
least what I would expect.

That is exactly what worked new today - tracking from the tracker to the app.

Android with Fitbit 4.30. I tried to start a run from the Charge 2, just a short 2 minute one. Run was started on Charge 2 and Fitbit app on phone acknowledged and was using GPS, but nothing tracked in Fitbit app.

I don’t yet know if the app will capture activities manually tracked on my watch, but after updating to IOS 18.1.1, deleting and reinstalling the Fitbit app, the app still deletes activities that I try to add manually, no change. Most of the time they just disappear immediately or in a few minutes. Rarely, inexplicably, they remain. Only activity that is recorded and remains is an auto detected walk. Frustrated to say the least!

Sounds about right, but don’t activities need to be at least 10 minutes?

Glad it worked for you, it didn’t for me.

It worked for a day after the update. Two syncs. Today, it did not work both cardio this morning and weights tonight. Bummer. Trying to figure out what changed overnight.

Activities did not need a minimum time length or distance to be tracked. I have lots of experience with this because my toddler loved to just press on the Charge 2 button and trigger runs. So, I have delete lots of 1-2 second runs from the Fitbit app before! At least this was the case this summer and prior.

Something new transpired today for me on the charge 2 tracker to app sync (android smart phone v4.30). Manually enabled threadmill on the charge 2 then after a sync to the app it appeared as a non-gps Run on the app. I did the exact same activity 2 days ago under the same exact circumstances (same app version, not uninstall/install ceremony etc) with different results, which is no excercise activity synced to the app. Still consistently erratic. My friend is going to have to wait a while before I totally give my trackers to him it seems.

I've been having issues for four months, they are not fixing anything.

With my Charge 2 the problem started with the latest IOS 18.1.1 and Fitbit 4.30. No data for Total time in heart rate zones (Peak, Vigorous, Moderate). Hopefully, this will get fixed soon.

To reiterate, I am giving mine until the end of the year for them to get this error fixed.

Today I tried to use the Charge 2 for a light jog and the session didn't get saved to Fitbit app.

I'm manually triggering the run activity on the Charge 2. It doesn't save on the Fitbit app. I prefer to not rely on Fitbit to auto recognize the activity since I like to have accurate start/end times.
I miss having my heart rate tracked when I trigger runs through the Fitbit app on my phone, but at least it's tracking my GPS route and pace instead of nothing at all. Essentially the Charge 2 is now useless for running for me. I just use it for my daily heart rate metrics, outside of running.

Yet it still can track non-stop walking even if it's around the neighborhood.
I'm still giving it until the end of this year for the glitch to be fixed before I resign from it.

The past 3 days I took the time to do a thorough evaluation of the Charge 2 (Versa 1 as well, I also own one). Starting from scratch, installed app on Android an Iphone phones, installed the trackers, put them on for 3 consecutive days (23 hours/50 mins per day, yes I only shower for 10 minutes) taking then off only when I shower. HR, Sleep tracking, Step counter, stairs, still works as the first day (2010ish) I took ownership. Notifications are gone on the tracker. I did not get "reminders to move" alerts, no phone calls, messages, zero. The real issue which was posted topic here, "activity exercises", manually tracked on the charge 2 is still not syncing or erratically recording different exercises to the phone app. GPS runs, walk, bike, workout, weights are all not syncing still. Treadmill, however is syncing differently as RUN (no gps) on app. Manually adding exercises on the app will disappear and one time entered 2X. It has been nearly 4 months now. These findings are the same on my Versa 1 fyi. Good luck.

I don't know why they haven't fixed the errors regarding the different Fitbit products.
Some users of it have already called it quits on the previous pages of this discussion.
