I have text and call notifications set up on my Charge 2 from my Galaxy note 3. I get notifications of calls but when i get a text message all it says is text message recieved. id like to know how i can view who it is from and part of the text message on my charge 2? i have text notifications enabled on my phone and it still isnt working. is my phone not compatible with my charge 2 to view text messages? im at a loss..HELPPP

No worries @Dearnne, I'll be more than glad to help you. Since you'll need to make a choice about encryption, before you get started we recommend reading our brief explanation at Are notifications sent from my Android device encrypted?
On your mobile device go to your system settings and verify these conditions:
Now you'll make sure the Fitbit app can send the notifications you want to see. Make sure your charged tracker is nearby.
The Charge 2 notification setting on the tracker that must be on. Therefore, on the clock screen, press and hold the button.
You're all set. You'll get tracker notifications whenever you're in range of your mobile device (about 20 feet).

Newbie here.
Tried all that all still not receiving tests.
My charge 2 does not receive texts or calls anymore. Just comes up as having 1 new message. Tried reboot of Charge 2 and Droid Turbo 2. Also, tried solutions in previous post. Still not receiving. It was working until a week ago.

However, I'd like you to please check and confirm if you've followed every single steps I'm leaving below:
For the notifications:
PS: Since you're on Android app, If the preview message is off then it won't preview through Fitbit either, no matter what you set it to through the app. So, check it by going to Settings --> Device --> Applications --> Messages --> Notifications --> Must be on, pop-up display switched on, and Preview Message on.

Been using the flex for about 5 years now and upgraded to the Charge 2 about a month ago. Cannot receive notifications (main reason for upgrading). Tried everything you had mentioned already. Tried again, still not getting notifications. Worked intermittently about a month ago and then stopped. Never dropped or wet (other than sweating). Ready to throw it in the trash and buy a Samsung 😞

Thanks for jumping up into this thread and following my suggestions @LSkyWalker!
As I've mentioned, notifications skip or stop occasionally for several reasons that don't suggest a problem with your tracker or the Fitbit app.
Let's do it once more. Reset your Bluetooth:
If after following those steps your notifications are still not working, as a last resort you can fully refresh notifications, which means setting them up again in the Fitbit app from the beginning. Unlike turning notifications off and on (resetting), this task also temporarily removes the connection between your mobile device and the tracker.

Thank you kind sir, I have been locked in a battle with my charge 2. My wife and I both have the same phone and the same charge 2 but she was receiving the name and message where I just got a new message notification. It's been driving me crazy. All. Of our setting we're the same on the app. The difference was the pop up and display messages on my messenger app. You are a genius

I have all my notifications in alignment in order to receive my text messages through my Fitbit Charge 2.. Unfortunately, it has continued NOT to process the messages themselves. I am only alerted with it saying "New Message" "1 New Message".. How is it that I can rectify this matter and actually have the 40 characters allowed to scroll across my Charge 2 Screen.

I was having the same issue but figured it out. Go into your message settings and choose privacy settings. This will turn on a preview of messages on lock screen and status bar. It shows sender and the message on Fitbit. Whew!!! Hope this works!
