At first the fit-bit charge 3 started vibrating, then the notification screen kept blinking. then it died.I manage to do an restart on it before it died.  I let it charge to the full. it lasted for an hour then it was dead again. It stayed non-responsive. It wouldn't charge. completely dead, so I thought. This morning (12/26/2018) I tried it again, it responded by blinking, vibrating and switching between screens again.

My fitbit charge 3 started vibrating and flashing on and off while hiking today. I wasn’t anywhere near home to charge it so after a while, it went dead. I took it home later and put it in the charging cradle and followed the 15 second rule I googled from other people. Nothing happens. I am not even able to get it to charge. I do not shower in it. I don’t swim in it. I haven’t been 100% happy with it since I cant get it to be compatible with my iPhone 11 Pro Max and can’t get text messages to notify me. I’ve had a first generation Fitbit then a charge 2. Now the charge 3. Not happy. I haven’t even had this a year. I take great care of this and now it’s dead. I bought on Amazon Prime. What should I do? I so rely on this for hiking but am extremely frustrated. Please help. Thank you

Call Fitbit - if it is still under warranty they should replace it.

Hi,

I currently own a Fitbit Charge 3. I ordered it from Amazon Prime. I haven’t had it a year. Yesterday while hiking, the screen started flashing with notification. It was fully charged when I left the house to hike. Since I was no where near home, it finally died because of the screen flashing on and off for over an hour. When I got home later in the day, it won’t hold a charge. I did the 15 second rule after googling what to do. Following all instructions and nothing works. I also noticed that when I got my Charge 3, it wouldn’t notify me when I received text messages. It seemed like it wasn’t compatible with my iPhone 11 Pro max. I am extremely disappointed in this product. This is the third Fitbit I have owned. I had the original and then a Charge 2.

What can I do to get my Charge 3 to work again? Nothing works and am extremely frustrated. I don’t shower or swim in it but rely on it heavily for tracking miles while hiking.

Thanks,

Does anyone have the Fitbit number to call?

I am also having the problem with my fitbit . I also tried the recommendation mentioned above to stop the vibration and blinking of the screenwake page. I even left mine powered off for awhile. My fitbit started around 1am while I was sleep and is still doing it at 7am this morning. I like my device but this is the second one I bought because of problems. Your help would be appreciated.

I called the customer service number. I had only had my Fitbit Charge 3 for six months so I was able to have another one sent to me.

Hope this helps!

Call Fitbit, if it is under warranty they should replace it. If not they
may offer a discount towards a new one. Good luck!

It's not the device, it's a backend system wide issue - affecting thousands of devices globally. They can't figure out, if they did they would just send a global wide software update. They're making us all spend hours chasing these community boards and providing these 'fixes' that don't work. Mine hasn't worked for over a week now, and I've tried EVERYTHING. This is the worst customer experience. I have a $149 piece of junk that I can't use and they don't care.

Sorry - I am just someone else who had issues - I am not part of Fitbit but
I keep getting emails when someone has an issue. Hope you can get it
straightened out!

I’m going to purchase an Apple Watch or something similar next time.  I’ve gone back to wearing my Charge 2.  So when it dies, I’ll not be purchasing a Fitbit!  They seem to be crap.

My Charge 3 just started doing this today. I received it as a Mother's Day gift last year so it's 11 days out from under warranty 🙄 They've offered me a discount on a new one, at this point I'm questioning whether I want to risk another device that appears to have known issues. I was really happy with it up until this point. Ugh.

I have the same issue but I'm tired of babysitting the fitbit. It always has issues. I just cancelled my Premium subscription and am ordering a Garmin tomorrow.

Which Garmin are you ordering, @Flor74 ? I'm looking at them too, debating between a VivoSmart4 or a VivoActive 3.

I followed all of the steps, but after it came back on with a smiley face, it started blinking and flashing all over again

Thanks so much. I ended up cancelling my Fitbit Premium and buying a
Garmin. Very upset with Fitbit but very happy without the change! My
vivoactive 4s is a beauty!!!

I am having the exact same issues with blinking screen and random vibrating. I followed all the steps given here. Mine will not actually shut down. This Fitbit 3 is actually a replacement I bought with a discount from Fitbit after my charge 2 died. This is my third fitbit and every single one has had problems. They never offer to replace these defective units. Poor customer service.

I am thankful that I’ve hat two replacements from Fitbit, probably because my problems started while my device was under warranty. Although I’m on my fifth Fitbit, one was the original purchase that was replaced, then I upgraded to the Charge 3.

Mine is only six months old and it is my third one. It is still under warranty. I also bought the extended warranty but they will not fix it either because it is still under the manufacturer warranty.

Fitbit sucks. They don't even bother to reply. Very arrogant
