I just got my Fitbit Inspire in the mail and was so excited to set it up, however I cannot to get it to sync to my phone no matter what I do! I have the fitbit and my phone both plugged in. I have tried quitting the app, restarting my phone, and re-connecting to bluetooth. My fitbit is on but won't connect. Help!

Ok, good to know - glad it worked out.

Ya, I remember the Inspire HR designation was only on the box it came in,
no where else, kind of hard to find.

I too was having this problem and tried everything - then suddenly I realized the fitbit was still blue tooth connected to my old phone - as soon I turned off the blue tooth on the old phone, the new iphone discovered the fitbit and I am back in action.  I did prior to this, uninstall and reinstall the app, turn off and turn on the blue tooth, reboot my phone as well as forget the device from my account and pick a new device for the account, so I can't say if all of these were necessary or not prior to just making sure no other device was blue tooth connected to my fit bit.

Hi,

Steps to follow are:
1) Download/Install Fitbit app from Applestore
2) Select the Inspire HR device type
Click on the fitbit app on the top left corner (looks like headphones with
a minus sign)
Select Set Up a Device
Select Inspire HR
Have your Inspire HR by the phone
3) Then the pairing happens

Same here. Also the same problem with a second Inspire HR I bought my Mum. Three of us who are all tech savvy took 2 hours. Eventually “somehow” hers ended up working but no idea how.

Looks like a mess up on the app, I have the HR, could not sync it to my phone.. I even brought my phone in for repair thinking that it was malfunctioning. But after reading this I tried selecting Inspire instead of HR and it worked!

I called Fitbit and they solved the problem for me. It was I was running an outdated app on my iPhone - make sure you are running the latest Fitbit app and update it if not. then restart the setup new device. When I did it - it worked and my Inspire is now setup on my iPhone X

it has to be in the craddle for it to sync to the bluetooth of your iphone or ipad as far as I know. I call Fitbit tech support and they answered my call - if issues continue you may want to call them at 877-623-4997

Is it synced to another device? Go to that device and remove. Also try turning your phone off and back on and deleting the app and redownloding
