When replying to text messages from Versa, messages are sent three times. Using Pixel 3 and Google Messages app. Anyone else with this problem?

Best AnswerSorry I couldnt help. Fitbit needs to come up with a fix for all supported phones. I have a pixel xl2 and this fix has held for me. I have all of the most recent android pie updates and maybe that fixes the issue. But so many people with the same problem that must be addressed. My wifes charge 3 has never had the problem nor have I read about the issue on the charge 3 so I expect its with the Versa software not the phones.

Ok...I think I figured it out.
I literally had to type back in the original quick replies.
Then I restarted my phone and the app. I tried to reply to my son's phone,
because I certainly didn't want to be bombarding people with 4 messages
each time, and it seems to be working.
I hope it stays that way.
I also found that when I use my bluetooth headphones, I can receive phone
calls and talk to people. And I can only call out when responding to a
call that I dismiss through notifications. I would like a way to be able
to do a quick dial to favorites through the phone. I hope they can set up
an app for that.

Best AnswerJust got my Versa today and it is sending between 2 and 6 messages on quick reply. Tested using both WhatsApp and normal text messages.
Have tried all the rebooting and resetting tips suggested by other users.
Best AnswerJust got Charge 3 Special Edition connected to my Pixel XL. I see that dozens and dozens of people have reported this multiple quick reply problem. WHEN IS THIS GOING TO GET FIXED? Isn't this kind of ridiculous? The feature is completely unusable.
Best AnswerI agree with your statement. Pixel needs to come up with a fix for this issue that resolves the problem on all Android devices. Since I found a fix that works with my Pixel XL2, I have not had the problem now for a couple of months. We should not have to make efforts to find our own fix and if there is a work around that fixes the issue, it should be coming from Fitbit not another blogger. But if you haven't tried rebooting your device, forgetting the Versa from the Bluetooth connection on your phone and let the watch connect to the phone, not the phone to the watch, you might try this step. It worked for me and also solved my problem with syncing, Nevertheless, Fitbit should not advertise a feature that doesn't work with most devices.
