I can see the home screen on my Versa 2 but can’t do anything from there. On the rare occasion I can get it to move to another page, I can’t get anything to work when I touch an icon. I’ve restarted it multiple times and charged it to see if either of those would help but nothing changed.

I got it working!
I got my Versa 2 for Christmas from Costco. I right away had this problem and assumed it was user error. I got it working eventually, not sure how, but did. It has worked ever since then fine until yesterday. Again couldn't swipe. If I tried, the screen went black. I reset it several times no luck.
But just now I removed the device from the app then added it back. That was quick and easy but didn't seem to do anything. Out of frustration I quickly pressed the back button (which is the only button) on my Versa 2 like 10 times. All of a sudden it worked. Not sure if it was a delay from the unsync/resync or my tantrum button pressing. But its working. It still relapses and stops scrolling again every once in a while but I usually can get it moving again by hard pressing the screen a few times. I call it angry scrolling. It's like a vending machine that needs to be kicked to work. Not ideal at all but something to try.

@KappyGo you might also want to try changing the screen wake from automatic to manual in settings. That completely eliminated the touch screen freezing problem for me and some others. No more angry scrolling, which I had became very accustomed to doing. You have to tap the screen or hit the button to bring up the clock face, but it was worth it for me.

Restarting worked once in a blue moon for me, so I just contacted Fitbit and they replaced it. Suggest you do the same - good luck

This is my 3rd Fitbit product... I had 2 Ionics... Then I switched to the Versa 2 when it came out.. It worked fine for a few months... Now possibly after an upgrade it won’t swipe, and the touchscreen won’t work at all!!!! I’ve shut it off a bunch of times and it still won’t work!! I cannot do a factory reset because it won’t swipe to get to settings, how about putting that option on the phone app? We pay a lot of money for these devices... I think it might be time to switch to an Apple Watch... I am hoping y’all can fix this problem!!!

THANK YOU for this tip as it appears to be working for me for over 12 hours now. No more regular random freezes or restarts! Long may it last 😄

I'm having a weird issue. I can't get my notifications window to come down from the top of my screen. They show up on my watch but when I try to click on them they disappear. It is getting very frustrating because I can see what I need to see. I tried restarting the device and it still does it. I'm able to swipe up and to the left but I can't get the swipe down to work.

I have the same issue. The reset trick works but not for long. I end up having to restart several times a day which is frustrating and shouldn’t be needed.
