Versa won’t sync

I’ve had my versa since Thursday, during the day my watch will work fine and sync with no issues. When I get up the following morning it will no longer sync, Bluetooth connection keeps dropping (only when trying to sync). I factory reset Friday morning and Saturday morning, spent over a hour each morning installing and setting the watch up again. I’ve spent longer trying to get my watch to work instead of using it. I’ve tried everything, phone on/off, Fitbit on/off, delete and reinstall app, Bluetooth on/off. Other than factory reset I can’t see anything else that works! Very upset and disappointed

Go on your phone's Bluetooth settings; remove the Versa. Then have your phone repair with it. Do not remove it from your Fitbit app; just unpair via Bluetooth.

This fixed my issue.

Hello Marco,

I had the same problem but today I disconected all bluetooth devices and the watch started synching again with my phone.

I will now reconnect my other devices one at the time, maybe i'll find out if there is a device that's causing the problems

I've been through all of the suggestions, resets, do-overs, work-arounds, "have you tried", tech steps, mod steps, etc. I've been around Fitbit for about 3 years now, so I'm well-versed in their foibles. It seems like every time a new model comes out, about 2 months in, I wind up having to call tech for a replacement watch. Those replacement watches are not new watches; they're refurbs. I'm not paying full price just to wind up with a refurb every time. I'm on my third model (Charge, Charge HR, and now Versa.) I'm about ready to jump ship and go back to Garmin. The problem is that I prefer the aesthetics on the Fitbit models. Versa is trying my last round of patience, though.

Hello.  I had this issue as well, and was not syncing in the "app" for 5 days.  After turning the device (versa) OFF and then on again, bluetooth started picking up my Versa again and all syncing is now happening.  Not sure I'm getting notifications/texts but I'll confirm that later today

I am on my 2nd Versa( as I was having sync problems with my first) and still having sync problems , think I'll be getting a refund as I'm fed up with it now

Fitbit continues to give bogus answers to all the problems they are having with the Versa. This watch was released way before it should have been. Fitbit has failed so bad with the handling of this watch. It worked before the version 15 release but your company refuses to roll back the changes. Shame on you fitbit, Shame on you !

I feel exactly the same - and so many issues - including the won’t sync - the versa sucks, as a product, and a consumer of precious time. I am over this useless item.

Like everyone else, my Versa won’t sync. It also won’t connect to WiFi or display notifications. I’m within the return period and will probably send it back. Does anyone know if we get refunded the $50 for extended warranty?

I would have thought so because it's' not fit for purpose '

Sent from my Samsung Galaxy smartphone.

I have the same issue.  Works fine all day. Next morning it refuses to sync.  Every morning I go through the same thing, turn the bluetooth off and on, turn the watch off and on, turn the phone off and on.  So far, eventually, one of these things works but I usually have to try them all.  Not what you would expect from a fairly expensive watch.

Okay so heads up on the replacement for my Versa that kept on not syncing. So with my original Versa, it wouldn’t sync with my iPhone, iPad, or Mac. We would constantly run the same fixes instructed by Fitbit and it would work and stay synced but the next day it would once again not sync and we would have to do the process over again.  I received my new Versa yesterday and this unit not only syncs, but i was able to set it up very quickly and even transferring music was much much quicker on this new Versa. So yes there was something totally defective in my old model, likely something that couldn’t be fixed by an update, as this model has the same update number as the Versa I returned.  I have had no issues with downloading software, receiving notifications, or changing the clock faces on the new Versa (I had issues with all these things including not being able to sync on the old one). I am so glad I have a working unit now, but the replacement process was pretty painful (though CS was always as helpful as possible over the phone). I hope this post helps.

Sucks, looks like my post is being deleted by Fitbit, regarding my sync issues... I was just trying to help people who where having the same issues as me to save them a little time and frustration /shrug. Sad, this is really shady, loved this company 😞

Yup send it back. It is garbage. I am outside the return period and I just gave up.  Went back to Garmin and no sync problems.

People are saying to restart the versa. How do I restart or factory reset. I have had this thing for about 14 days and it won’t sync. It’s only synced once.

There has been multiple things to try and everyone has tried them and we are still having syncing problems. My advise is to return it.                                                                                                          Fitbit really rolled out this Versa to fast and are hearing about the syncing problems but not responding to fix them. I just got to frustrated and went to a Garmin.

Go to settings, then go to "about" scroll to the bottom and you will find both factory reset and shut down. After clicking shutdown, your watch will go black. Touch any button to restart...but give it a second....you will think it's not going to.

I bought a new versa and it worked better then the previous versa one. I bought a new phone a Razer phone and it works perfectly with the versa no issues.

I also have the fitbit versa, and have been trying to sync it on to my Samsung galaxy but with no luck. I followed your instructions and I get a message that says that my tracker is not found. Very disappointed with constantly being let down with this device. It's been weeks of continuous problems.
