I was trying to log my food today and it will not show any food when I put an item in. It will also not show anything in the database when I scan and I know those items are in there. Please help. I have a sense 2 and an apple

App fails to log food both from the dashboard and from the food menu. It initially shows up as being logged, but then when I leave the food menu and come back, it's gone.
It happens with any meal.
It happens with custom food and food in the database, also food listed in 'recent' and 'frequent'.
I'm on Android 16.
I've tried restarting, force stop, clearing cache, re-syncing, the problem is still there.
Android phone. Inspire HR. In food site in the app. Add food from list (which is now an old list) or by searching. It seems to only record the last item added but then when you go back to the dashboard everything has disappeared.
When I use the + to ennter food I can enter an item but when I put in app new entry the last one disappears Using an android
Best AnswerSame issue. Started today with entries made today or added to yesterday. I am using ios, all apps current. All entries are made only through the fitbit app. Tried restarting app, the phone, no change food data enter will store then seconds later start disappearing. Not all entries random food entries. Entries are made using +, and are items that commonly used so come from either frequent or recent list.
Best AnswerLog food feature is not working as expected, does this happen with the (+) plus sign in the dashboard or when you are in the food site in the app?
What do you mean by "food site in the app"? The plus sign is the only way I know of to add food in the app.
Does this happen with every meal (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack, etc) or only for specific?
Any meal type for me
Does this affect custom food or also the ones listed in the data base?
How do we know which are listed and which have been added?
Are you using an Android device or an iOS (iPhone /iPad?
iOS iPhone
Best AnswerHaving the same issue. Only successfully logged meal was breakfast, everything else entered dissappear. Have entered multiple ways: from recent, plus sign, barcode. All worth the same result. Have tried restarting and uninstall/reinstall of app.
Best AnswerSame issue. iPhone. All foods, all meals, barcode or manual entry. Stopped working sometime after I entered breakfast. It looks like it’s added the food but it disappears shortly after adding. I tried all of the steps everyone else tried and installed the latest update from App Store.
Best AnswerSame issue here. It has to be the new update that messed everything up. Very frustrating.
Same issue! Logged my breakfast fine then it stoped. Cleared cache, deleted and reinstalled. Nothing. It happens and any meal entry ( dinner, breakfast, lunch) and on custom, frequent or scanned items. Shows up for a few seconds then disappears
Best AnswerI can access the different foods in the app but when I hit save, the food just doesn't show up and the calories won't increase
Best AnswerI tap the + and am allowed to make an entry. I appears for a moment on the Food This Week bar chart and then disappears.
It happens with every item/meal.
It happens with all categories (Frequent, Recent, and Custom)
Android
Best AnswerFor what it's worth I'm experimenting with MyFitnessPal as a way to enter data into FitBit while the front end doesn't work. Apparently one can enter data there and it's supposed to be written to the existing FitBit database. Maybe it'll "stick" when entered that way.
Best AnswerSame issue. This is getting annoying with all the updates and issues recently. One would think that this is something they should QA.
