Fitbit app - Food Fitbit App Deleting Food Logs Immediately

I was trying to log my food today and it will not show any food when I put an item in. It will also not show anything in the database when I scan and I know those items are in there. Please help. I have a sense 2 and an apple

I'm having the same issue, started 12/4/25 when supposedly this app issue was resolved. I'm very disappointed in Fitbit. Is anyone looking at another product and their app? I've been documenting my food intake on Fitbit for 11 years but I'm over the issues with this app. Any ideas for another product are gratefully received.

Same issue - entry for foods appears initially but then disappears after a few seconds.  Had worked fine until yesterday 12/4/2025.  This account has been active since 2013, some years more than others 🙂

I have the same problem. Responses to your questions:

  • Log food feature is not working as expected—does this happen with the (+) plus sign in the dashboard or when you are in the food site in the app?
It occurs both when adding meals directly in the Fitbit app using the (+) sign in the dashboard and when meals are synced from another app (MyFitnessPal) which I use most frequently.

  • Does this happen with every meal (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack, etc.) or only for specific ones?
It happens with every meal type.

  • Does this affect custom foods or also the ones listed in the database?
    Not tested yet.

  • Are you using an Android device or an iOS (iPhone/iPad)?
    Android.

It's very frustrating that the update just released doesn't fix the broken food logging. I have cleared cache and app data after installing the update and it still doesn't keep my new food entries

Hi Juan, experiencing the same issue since last night, logging food from anywhere in the app (plus sign or in the food site) is not retaining the record. This is happening for every meal, database food and custom food. It looks like the record is there and then a couple of seconds pass and it disappears. I'm using an Android device running version 13, I have restarted it and uninstalled and reinstalled the Fitbit app and still have the same issue.

Starting yesterday the app will not save the food I logged. I will enter free calories or chose an item and seconds later it will reset. Please help. Thanks.

Same on pixel 10xl. It stopped working yesterday. You can enter your item and it may or may not appear and then it totally disappears. Haven't been able to log anything since about 11 Eastern yesterday

This needs to be fixed soon, as this is a 'premium' paid for service, very frustrating

This happens when in food app. I hit plus sign to add food and it dissapeared as soon as I hit log. I've tried everything to reset my phone and it hasn't changed anything. This has been going on since yesterday morning.

I opened up a support ticket but they gave me some dumb excuse about there being an update that will fix it, but not everyone has the update yet. I checked and my app did NOT update, which means why would it start acting up all of a sudden? And she said the update would fix it and I should have the update within the next week.

I think some QA testing manager needs to be on the chopping block for rolling out something that was never tested in its core functionality!

I'm on a Samsung phone.  It logs the last entered food and everything else disappears.   Sometimes get am error message.   It happens regardless of how I enter it.  Ive tried reinstalling, etc but nothing helps.

Same problem here, which started yesterday...

Same today, so to answer your questions:

Log food feature is not working as expected, does this happen with the (+) plus sign in the dashboard or when you are in the food site in the app?

Both

Does this happen with every meal (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack, etc) or only for specific?

Yes, all meals

Does this affect custom food or also the ones listed in the data base?

Yes, custom and database

Are you using an Android device or an iOS (iPhone /iPad?

Android

Baffling as to why something that has been working fine, should suddenly stop, so hope this can be soon be fixed. Thanks

Mine is the same. Everything just dissappears as soon as logged. No difference in what food custom or otherwise is entered

I’m having the same problem. Registers the entry then it disappears. This is really my main reason for having a Fitbit (luxe), balancing calories out with calories in. I’ve closed down and restarted but not working. Please help

Answering your questions in order as I started having the same issue start yesterday afternoon:

1. Both entry methods

2. All meals

3. Both custom and database

4. iPhone 14 Pro running iOS version 26.1

Thank you!
