Fitbit app - Food Fitbit App Deleting Food Logs Immediately

ANSWERED

I was trying to log my food today and it will not show any food when I put an item in. It will also not show anything in the database when I scan and I know those items are in there. Please help. I have a sense 2 and an apple

Same issue. Food entry is not working. Stopped working about the time the app update was available in the apple app store.

It started yesterday. I was able to log breakfast from the + but after that, nothing I tried to log either from + or searching would log. I also tried from a barcode and it went green but never actually ‘found’ the item. It also could locate when I typed it in, but when I tapped the item, it sat searching. Last night I could finally have it come up when I typed it in but once logged it disappeared. As of this morning, the only item shown from yesterday’s log is breakfast.
I tried to relog everything today again, it disappeared.

Thank you hopefully resolves soon. Still not working. Frustrating. Even Fitbit tells me I have done over 100 stairs which is highly unlikely.

Log food feature is not working as expected,
- it actually functions normally - with the entry appearing in my day's log (tried prior days as well, same thing) - and calories and macros recalculate. THEN - 5 seconds later... it disappears!!!

does this happen with the (+) plus sign in the dashboard or when you are in the food site in the app?
- every entry: whether Frequent, Recent, Custom, or new Search

Does this happen with every meal (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack, etc) or only for specific?
- yes - every meal

Does this affect custom food or also the ones listed in the data base?
- all entries

Are you using an Android device or an iOS (iPhone /iPad?
- iPhone 17 - latest OS

This has been happening to me with every entry since the morning of Dec 4. Whether I scan an item's barcode, add an existing custom item, or find an existing item in the database. I have restarted my phone and my device multiple times. My burned calories are showing, as our past entries. I'm using an Android that's fully updated.

Same issue calories will add but then disappear. Ive updated the app, logged out logged back in, uninstalled and reinstalled and it still does it.

For me...

1. If I add from the + on the dashboard it doesn't save anything at all. If I add from the + within the food se c tion after clicking on daily food/calories it will add one item but it disappears if I add something else.

2. This happens in any category... breakfast, lunch, dinner, etc. and it doesn't make a difference wether its a searched, scanned, or custom entry.

3. Android platform

Still not working as of 0830 Friday the 5th

Unfortunate they can get it together. Doubly so, that my renewal just hit this week

80 bucks well spent eh?

Glad to find it’s not just me. Seems to affect all kinds of entries made since yesterday morning, but annoyingly looks like it’s working for a while, until you go back and find it’s partially randomly disappeared again. Using app on iPhone with Inspire 3.

I’m having the same problem.  Contacted customer support and they said they were working on it.  This app is a real disappointment.  So many issues with the food/calorie logging.  Looking into buying an Apple or Aura device.

Same issue, food logging worked fine yesterday morning (4 Dec) but didn't work around lunchtime. I tried all the regular things, clearing cache and storage, logging out, deleting app, restarting fitbit and phone and nothing worked. I am using an Android device. I tried all different combinations of trying to add to every meal and snack using the + and using quick calories and nothing stuck, it would just keep disappearing. I tried custom and the ones already in the database and there was nothing that stuck.

I'm still having this same problem today. I'm using a Samsung s25 ultra android. I've done all the things...cleared cache, uninstalled app, forced stop, restarted phone.

It happens anyway I try to input food. I use the + and the barcode scanner in app. This is happening with every meal and idk about custom (i rarely use that feature).

It lets me find, select and save food, but then disappears as soon as I leave the food screen.

Hoping this is resolved soon.
