It does not work no matter where I add from - the + quick add or under the nutrtiom heading. It is happening with every meal or snack - anything I attempt. Custom foods or foods I have scanned and saved are not staying logged.

I am using an Android device. I have recently updated my phone and my Fitbit app so that shouldn't be affecting anything.

Thanks!

I have also restarted the app. I have removed the app and reloaded it. I have restarted my charge 6 numerous times. I have restarted my phone numerous times. Nothing will fix this. I've been using fitness pal along with my Fitbit because they have a better food database and it has been transferring over to my Fitbit app exactly like it is supposed to until yesterday. Now nothing works when it comes to recording calorie intake.

Happens with both plus sign and the food sub app.

All meals. Stopped working after breakfast yesterday.

Affects all food.

Using Android.

Will allow me to add one item, then if I try to add another the old item disappears. When I leave the sub app or refresh the app, all food I've attempted to enter since breakfast yesterday has disappeared.

It’s happening to me when I use the plus sign to add anything. As soon as I add it, it deletes it. Nothing is staying in the food category.

Im using an Android. Yesterday was only able to add breakfast.  No other meals would add, regardless of how I tried. Today I am not able to log any food.

What other platforms o you have to use? I love fitbit- my steps and my food, water and rsrio of what I can still eat versus what I have burned.I really do not want several places I have to try to "figure" all that out.Sent from Samsung Galaxy smartphone.

Why is this marked as solved? It is not solved.

ALSO, I don’t know if anyone else noticed, but in total calorie/macro counts are changed on past days’ logs!!! It shows uncategorized calories and misaligns the macros. Everything is awry regarding food logging, even on past days somehow!!

I religiously use the Fitbit app to track my calorie intake and expenditure, including breakdowns for fat, carbs, and protein. Everything worked perfectly from the initially day I started for months until three days ago. Now, when I add a custom food entry via "Add Custom Food," it initially appears in my log and the calorie totals update briefly, but then the entry vanishes, and the totals reset as if nothing was added. I've tried deleting and reinstalling the app based on troubleshooting instructions, plus rebooting my iPhone, but the problem persists.

Based on Gemini AI, the issue I am experiencing with food entries disappearing in the Fitbit app is a widely reported, recent bug, likely due to a server synchronization problem with a recent app update. The standard troubleshooting steps I’ve already tried (reinstalling the app, rebooting your phone) do not permanently fix it because the problem is on Fitbit's end.

Fitbit is aware of the situation and working on a resolution.  Is there an estimated time to repair (ETTR)?

Mine just started yesterday. I'm on an android. No matter what kind of food I add or where it's from, it disappears once I look at any other screen like it was never there. It's very frustrating.

Looks like it’s happening across all devices and models!

I am having the same problem since yesterday. Every time I add something, a different entry will disappear. Sometimes it just disappears an entry if I just refresh as well. I’ll also add that yesterday during a walk, it seemed like it didn’t count about 1000 steps and then it randomly re-added those steps later in the evening (when I wasn’t moving around). Not sure if the issues are related but it’s super frustrating

Hi everyone, It's great to see that you've visited the Fitbit Community!

Thanks for reporting this issue in regards the food logging on the fitbit app. Thank you for all the attempts to try to resolve it.

Our development team is already aware of the situation and actively working to find a solution as soon as possible. In the meantime, make sure to keep your Fitbit device and app up-to-date to ensure you receive the quickest resolution. I appreciate your patience and look forward to getting you back on track. Thanks for your understanding.

In regards the step count issue @Lolly8, this kind of situation arrives when you have Mobiletrack installed on your Fitbit app. For reference see How do I track my steps with Fitbit with my phone?

If you do, then removing it from the app, may resolve the problem. To do so, follow the steps below:

  1. From the Today tab in the Fitbit app on your phone, tap Devices.
  2. Tap the image of your Charge 6
  3. Scroll down and choose "delete this device from account"

This is still an issue!!! Was it ever resolved? I've force the app to stop, done the log out/log in, and restarted my phone. What gives??
